Do you think Crouch returns to the first choice 22 this season?

We better not name pedlar as sub

disappointed we’re even considering him again this year, has had his chances and been terrible. That said, let’s hope he’s still in front of Murphy. Structurally can’t see anyone but Jones or Schoey as sub, so reckon the winner out of Pedlar and Murphy will be in the 22.

Possibility there’s a half rest with a ANB/Peatling type being sub.

BTW, has anyone noticed many more Crows (the bird) around of late in their area?

Seen far more than normal making plenty of noise.

I'm taking it as a sign...
We walked down town Reykjavík on Tuesday - and they were serving Crowberry desserts! We also took that as a sign! 😜

He can play forward decoy for RT and Fog.
Billy Frampton was decent in the decoy role

I initially thought it was because of our good forward line structure/craft and the understanding between Billy & Tex.

Later I realised it was just that Billy's forward line instincts were so poor that he always ended up miles from the ball

Seeing Murphy, Borlase and Schoenberg even near a team list is vomit inducing, it is actually a bit messed up that Burgess, Schoenberg, Murphy, 3 of the guys that will highly likely (hopefully) not be offered a contract for next year have been selected in front of contracted players Draper, Nankervis & Edwards - all part the future apparently.

From what I’ve seen the last couple of weeks in the SANFL Draper and Nankervis were more than ready to be back at AFL level, Murphy and Schoenberg over them even in an extended squad capacity is ****ed up…

Obviously you just hope to hell it’s just for travelling emergency reasons that some of these player have been selected and they want the better players to stay home to get full games & not go to Perth.

Could be possible there’s a preference to take a travelling emergency who is deeper depth rather than one of those missing a game for a long flight as better prep if required next week?

Burgess for Tex and laird for smith are straight forward

If it’s pedlar for cook then the idea of Murphy or Schoenberg being sacrificial traveling emergencies is something I can get behind and actually smart (knowing that if there is a late out against weak oppo we’re still going to be ok if they need to be sub)

Maybe too much credit but it would make some sense to let those others play and not be on the long flight

We will never know unless we have an injury and someone outside this squad leapfrogs the traveling emergency

Good point

Certainly better to have two non-options as the two non playing travelling emergencies. Have your best back up options play SANFL

Especially since we will be flying back Monday I assume and with big game Sat night

So makes sense not only to get the extra game in for continuity and form but better lead in if called upon for Saturday

It is a bit frustrating, but the club have clearly decided he needs to play out this year in the SANFL. They do appear to have quite a rigid plan with first year players.
It’s hard to complain with the way Curtin is playing this year. It’s going to be a bonus next year if Sid follows the same path

Sid’ll hopefully have the bonus of learning in a good team, something our recent draftees haven’t had.

We actually named that ****ing spud Murphy again? Edwards, Nank and Dowling must have really pissed off someone at the crows. Harry Schoenberg and Burgess? FFS. Anyway........

Nope, just the depth chart at work for the Burgess and Pedlar/Murphy calls. Edwards/Nank/Dowling problem right now is we don't see them as a small forward, nor do we see them as talents which is worth changing structure for.

The Schoenberg emergency is suuuppppppeeeerrrrr interesting. We've done this nothing emergency call before where someone gets on just prior to delisting, but there is an off chance we're hoping something is still there will Schoey.

Yes. Seeing these changes makes me nervous. I don’t want us to go in with an attitude that this will be an easy game. I’m actually quite nervous (ok, I am every week but…)
After tonight, it's a good, sensible move. The players coming in have form, and resting a couple will not harm us.
