Total horror show. We’ve lost our identity of what made us great.

Losing Howe in the first minute set the tone for the rest of the match. Instead of it galvanising us, it broke us.

It looks like we’re physically and mentally cooked. Such a shame the season is going down the drain fast after so much promise initially.

It’s going to be a long weekend.

Strange old night. Have had about an hour and a half to calm down knowing we were absolutely no chance.

Firstly, you've got to feel for Howe. Finally comes back and we're a bees dick off a best 23 for Adelaide next week and down he goes within 90 seconds.

Similar effort to last week, although even worse on a 5 say break, we were flat again. Absolutely no pressure put on in the middle, soft half-hearted tackling efforts all over the ground, no aerial presence, the list goes on. Their mids waltzed out of the middle all night and hit up their forwards without any dramas.

And then we got so far behind we had players trying to do too much and it worsened.

I get we had a similar slump in 2023 but nothing like this. We might turn this around but we've seen an over-reliance in sports science this year which has meant resting, loads lessened, loads increased, etc. rather than just cracking in and playing your best team to win each week.

Happy if someone tells me otherwise but now we need to win the next 2 or we miss the top 4.

All in all a very embarrassing night on Steele's 350th. He'd probably rather his 300th where he ****ed his knee and we won.

Howe injury no way contributed to this in a material way.

Writing has been on the wall for weeks. Whilst fly’s presser will be v v interesting

Too many best 22 players going backwards. Moore, Long, crisp, de Goey, WHE a spectator, and of course Houston…. We def do have a problem.

Age and lack of pace has finally caught up with us. And confidence is shot. Fumbles and slips everywhere.

Maybe some of the ‘showing love for another’ sessions need to be replaced with intensity and basics training. Eg hawks front and centre at every contest. Not for us. And STOP bombing the ball into the fking forward line! It doesn’t work… never has.

Would be an amazing story to come back from this in the finals. We wait, in hope….

Go pies

Long week.

Also all the campaigners on here to take joy out of when this side loses, congratulations glad you enjoyed tonight and you know who you are and you should be ashamed of yourselves (I’m fuming at the loss btw but goddamn some of the no names that pop up to get their take in is annoying)

I’ve also gotta get this off my chest too, some again the campaigners here blaming Bobby for this slide can go and get stuffed as far as I’m concerned. We’re not Carlton fans targeting McKay when he had his issues, we’re not bloody like that.

Season over. We'll limp into finals (because we won enough games in the early part) and get eliminated.
Might as well send the VFL team to Adelaide next week. Absolute whooping coming up

Interestingly enough I listened to Daniel Hoyne on Tuesday and he said that we were statistically better over the last month than in that form slump of 2023. Well it’s clear that stats don’t tell the full story.

Every player has really dropped their ****n bundle. I don't understand how we go from being the most structured team to an absolute shambles.

How many ****n times were our mids under no immediate pressure but panicked and turned it over? ****n RELAX and take a moment to think. The hawks drew us to every contest and shared it around. Whereas we just kept panicking. Infuriating to watch us play such dumb footy.

That was our worst ever loss under Fly. Players looked rattled and lost right from the start. Howe being KO'd in the opening minute didn't help.

Forward line was dysfunctional and defence was a disaster, however being smashed in the middle made both look worse.

Can't think of any positives, other than our season is still technically in our hands with two games left. However it will take a miracle to beat Adelaide, hell I don't even feel confident about the Dees now.

Anyway, onto next week lads.
