Headless ! Toump Ass ! Crimson Azure ! Bluelegs !

I did it! Looked at midi keyboards in Preston or some such, none suited so I went to the piano warehouse in South Melbourne and got a regular keyboard with Bluetooth to hook into my Sibelius app. And it WORKS SEAMLESSLY! Just spits out pages of sheet music, edits, choice of a zillion instruments, up to 60 staves. ****ing incredible.

Then obviously I had to get another piano stool, a proper 3 pedal kit (the pedal that comes with the keyboard is shit) a length of felt for under the pedals etc.

I’ve spent the last couple of hours teaching Sibelius to play Brahms IV for two piano accordions. I nearly cried laughing. After an hour Partner PG took himself to Camberwell to get me an early birthday present of some headphones. It seems my amazing accordion works got big on him quickly.

This might actually be the most fun I have had.

Hey tomcruise I’ve got some amazing ideas for the jazz michaels.

I will be at that stage SOON

I really need to set up a YouTube channel so the world can enjoy my version of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite for tubular bells. Maybe not - didn’t work so well - those things resonate for a year so it was a bit of a sound mush. I could add a bongos track for some definition.

I have a feeling I’m actually reinventing the John Williams band “Sky” 50 years on here.

Very nice to hear PG. I really enjoy when you can sense the joy in a decision someone has made. And it seems like it'll be the gift that keeps on giving, as it sounds like you nailed it with a tool perfect for purpose.

Have fun!

If anything a channel is a perfect way to store things that take up space. I use it to upload my down hill MTB go pros as I don't have space on my laptop. As I ride in some obscure locations at times they have proved helpful to riders wanting to go there but scope it out first.

And who knows, people might like your take on things.

I'm very on board.

Maybe I'll get one as well and we can have atmospheric music battles.

That's funny. I've gone down a rabbit hole with Talk Talk lately after It's My Life showed up on a youtube channel of remastered videos. Love 'em.
Yeah they're an amazing band, this album and Colour Of Spring are two of my favourites.
The back story of how this album was made, and the court case where EMI said it was not "commercially sellable" is pretty interesting.

Can you rustle up something for a 1950's Yamaha electric reed organ? We've got one currently being used as our entrance hall table. Haven't plugged it in for about ten years though.

Of late I want a Baroque Lute so badly. I can’t imagine that there are too many in existence, probably none in Australia. And I can see why - three totally unstopped strings so any music it plays would be limited to your medievil, renaissance, v early baroque pagan dance stuff based on 3 chords and no key changes. Still, I love hearing what people came up with in a very limited frame.

I found this guy online playing the baroque lute piece I’m arranging for violin and piano. I like him. He looks like he’s having a nice time
