In: Laird, Burgess, Pedlar
Out: Walker (managed), Smith, Cook
Given the squad chosen, sensible choices.

Would have liked to have seen Nankervis though

It feels like he is a forward moving... forward

Crouch, Sholl, Borlase, Draper, Schoenberg and Dowling could all slot in this week if we wanted.

Good problem to have, but none of them are really killing it in the SANFL.

I don’t know. If one of our three tall fwds go down in finals, do we just go Burgess?

Does the 3 talks fwd line work because of the personnel, or the genius of the plan? Will it all fall over with a lesser player?

Without TT last year we looked terrible.

Just saying, we might be better off seeing if we can make some kind of plan B work.

Really happy to see pedlar getting another chance. Hopefully this game gives him the confidence. I feel that’s the problem at the moment. He’s got the skills
Needs to find more of the ball.

I've got a funny feeling that Burgess will pop up for 3 goals which won't tell us much against WC then he'll be straight out for Tex next week.

Very good chance given he dominates at sanfl level & going to get the 3rd best Weagles defender who is likely to be wafl standard.

He could kick 10 and he'll still be dropped for next week if there isn't an injury to Walker, Thilthorpe or Fogarty.
I think we use him as the 2nd ruck instead.

Get on Thilthorpe for a huge bag.

The only reason three key talls works is a superstar key forward who glues it all together. Or more specifically, Thilthorpe. We can lose Fog or Tex and it'll be fine because it can handle a decoy. Filthy and our finals shot is in tatters.

And for the plan B? The next small forward in is Lachie Murphy or Brayden Cook. Our small forward depth is shithouse. We cannot change, even if we wanted to. From that we go Burgess and are fully committed to this path.

He's someone who is made for finals football imo.

Considering how much he's struggled this year, Pedlar isn't made for anything.

Tbh the idea that we're forcing next year to be a rookie year is my worry.

We're knee deep in a premiership window. Draper up to speed by finals next year could be worth a flag.
He's had a decent taste and knows the pace. He's had CBAs. If fit, I'd be expecting him in the side from round 1.

He'll definitely be in our plans for this window.

Sneaky chance to make his 10th game the GF and start next year eligible and a premiership player....

He's has basically no taste at all. Less than a few games of ordinary game time after being made the sub constantly.
