I wouldn’t be against giving someone like Libba a week’s rest. Eagles will test us but we have way too much class and should account for them comfortably. Freo the big one and we need Libba cherry ripe in the guts.

I am one of those sickos that feels uncomfortable dropping Mcneil because of his running patterns haha. I respect the opinion of course of those who disagree because he is not a good afl footballer.

Poulter by foot like in that first term when we had all the play and gifted them a sniff is why he should be swapped for davidson. I just have more confidence in the skill execution

VDM might have missed a few with injury and has worn the vest a couple of times but he still hasn't been omitted since he came into the side in the middle of 2023. That's 53 games played without getting dropped. He probabaly wouldn't even be able to spell VFL these days, let alone know where it was.

It makes no sense to rest anyone at this stage. These are must win games and Libba, along with anyone else who needs it, will have the chance to rest during the pre-finals bye, should we make it.

There’s also no way Adz should, or would, come straight back into the seniors. It’s too big a risk for both him and the club. Bevo has already said he’ll need to play VFL first before being considered – or words to that effect.

I'm happy with Davidson in for VDM, didn't play VFL but holdover emergency would say he was close to next man up. Form most of the year has been good and had one solid / one quietish game in his two at VFL. A week off and the spell in the twos would have hopefully freshened him up, the early season Davidson we saw would be a fantastic addition to this team.

I only saw the second half but Sanders was insipid and looked like he had concrete boots on. This does not bode well for him if we make finals and play on some of the bigger grounds.

Sellwood had a big game in the VFL, could he break through?

Dolan for Vanders is my predicted change. But Dolan has been in and out a few times now, and has had less possessions, goals and tackles at AFL than Vanders, so its a risk of giving us less at the small forward role than Vanders.

I thought Poulter was solid in that final quarter, I think he is better as a forward than Davidson was when he was used in the pocket (in terms of positioning and ground ball). We need experienced heads, heading into the finals. Can't be playing too many kids.

Actually prefer Harmes back in the team as our only change. Shame he has been hit hard by the flu.

I know it’s not the priority, but Dolan can only play one more AFL game while remaining eligible for VFL finals.

If we bring him in I want it to be with a view that it’s his spot to keep/lose, not just as a holdover until VDM can play.

Why do people think Buss is getting dropped just because he got subbed out? I think as much as anything it was Darcy not getting into the game that drove the Busslinger sub … basically we moved Darcy to play the 2nd ruck role to get into the game, that meant Lobb could stay back and we didn’t need Buss.
