Yep! Right under the nose of the Victorian teams. How did they miss him?
AFL recruiters come from the Leo DiCaprio school of thinking. Players hit 22 or so, cya later, you’re done.

Plenty of guys have AFL attributes with some weakness that caused them to not ‘make it’, and yet the good teams (see: Geelong) love finding these blokes, putting them in a position to show off the good stuff while trying to hide/improve the bad stuff. And if you get a reliable B22 option for six years…that’s sick?

People just drop off blokes when a 15 year career is no longer on the cards. Plenty of good footballers running around at state league who have just been ignored for the cardinal sin of turning 23.

Most dynamic game thus far.

Tried to create every single time he touched the footy. Admire that the most about him.

14CBA's. Hopefully that continues as I like the fact it keeps him involved and around the ball.
It all starts from the middle, as most of our troubles do, but given his foot skills I still think his best position long term is flying off the back of the square with some unaccountable prima donna forward in his wake, getting a handball off the contest and delivering it inside 50.

Must admit I was somewhat 'disappointed' when we were linked to this bloke, solely due to his age.

Gee whiz, if we could find a couple of blokes like him every off season we'd be unstoppable. No wonder Geelong like their older players. You just get a known quantity for 5-8 years and who even knows what their ceiling is when they enter the AFL system?

This guy was an absolute steal.
He really makes a big difference to the list build going forward

He could be an outside/transition mid playing CBAs, he could be a wingman, or he could be an attacking halfback with his elite speed and disposal.
All 3 positions we lack depth in.

Best bit is hes in his 20s, the age bracket we dont have many in. Shows a bit of leadership too.

Curious to see how he stays for the rest of the season - hopefully in the midfield.

If he goes well we may draft/trade a bit differently than many have been predicting

Do the actual 2025 draft today where do you think he gets picked?

I'm going latter stages of the top 10 and that's only because you're not getting a full career. But **** me 6 years or so of this and it will still be an amazing career.

He's in our top 3 players since being picked up.
Will win a premiership with us in 2030. ;)

I'm trying to think who he reminds me of....
Isaac Smith from the Hawks maybe?

He put him quite a few really good defensive efforts today as well.
Very impressed with him

Came runner up in the 2023 Highett Best and Fairest in the illustrious Southern Football Netball League Division Two.

Should sign up whoever beat him on principle alone.

Netball background.

Judd.

No, really.
Something about the running style, just at 0.25 speed. Given he’s no Judd, if he only wins one Brownlow it will still be an alright pickup by me.

Makes me want to pair Lindsay alongside one of the more blue chip mids as Tmacs elite ball use has already had an impact.

Cross between Whitfield and Dale?

Like those two hes a bit taller than you'd expect, close to 190cm. Hes got the run and creativity of Whitfield(not saying hes as good here, but reminds me of) and also the explosiveness/attack and metres gained of Dale.
