How are the Saints so much better than us at drafting SA players?
Well... we did draft 2 out of 2 SA players last year - Draper & Welsh. Don't get me wrong, I wish we'd opted for Dodson instead of Welsh, but we can't draft every SA player.

I always find it interesting how supporters get upset at reports suggesting there is unrest in the playing group. AFL lists are no different to any other workplace with 40 odd people.

Even in successful winning clubs there are always some they don't like each other, think others are over paid, think they are under paid, don't like the leadership.

With the Saints. Wilkie wouldn't be human if he wasn't questioning what's he's on compared to the offers for Aleer. If he didn't then I bet his partner, management or mates have brought it up.

Having a chuckle at Andrew Dillon talking up Snoop Dogs community work when his lyrics and drug use.

Saying he is culturally relevant to the AFL.... lol

And he spoke of Snoop in the Superbowl. His solo was the the most explicit. It was a great show BTW.

Is there a Snoop song that fits the AFL's moral agenda lol

I can't think of one, unless he does a Doggyland set, which is quite good for kids....

The Lions are pretty salty that Curtin and Reid have overtaken Ashcroft in the rising star market:

"Curtin, a second-year player at Adelaide at 20 but eligible for the Rising Star Award because he played only seven games last year, has averaged 13.5 possessions, 6.7 contested possessions, 1.9 clearances and 3.4 tackles, with an average player rating of 10.13

But through the first nine games he was going at 9.3 possessions, 4.4 contested possessions, 0,4 clearances and 2.3 tackles, with a rating of 8.00."

Ashcroft's full year rating is 6.94.

that was such an embarrassing read

It's amazing how St Kilda always finds a new way to be unsuccessful. One of the foundation clubs of the league, won one flag by one point 59 years ago, Ross Lyon walked out on them and the club came crawling back to him when past his prime. The club has gotten almost nothing right for 150 years and never seems to have any luck either.

Feels like they’re are destined to perennial runt of the litter.

They can still be traded.
This is the Clause.
"Save and except where, in the opinion of the General Manager – Football Operations, there are exceptional and compelling circumstances that make it harsh and unconscionable for a Player not to be exchanged, no AFL Club shall exchange any Player who has not completed at least one AFL Season under his current contract with the AFL Club...”
Translation: the General Manager can do what he likes and justify it (especially if it advantages a Victorian club).

I can't think of any good memorable Snoop song and I use the word 'song' very loosely, because they're all shit.

Sing me a Snoop song. You just ****ing can't.

Just because it’s not your type of music doesn’t mean Snoop doesn’t have many hits and has been relevant over a very long period of time. He’s also an awesome performer.

The dude opened the half time show at the Super Bowl which was one of the best half time shows in recent times.

You don’t get 17 Grammy nominations for doing just anything.

Personally, I think he’ll be great.

Yeah, he's an odd choice for a largely meat n potatoes crowd that would prefer the Foo Fighters or Hunters doing Holy Grail but he'll put on a show. Everyone has heard this

Most of his most recognisable songs are with other people though so don't know if they'll get a run

Drpp it like it's Hot is probably his most main stream recent (2004 lol) song. It's catchy.

But not sure it culturally aligns with the AFL, as Dillon would suggest.

To me that is one of the best Superbowl shows ever.

Snoop was ok, but Dre and Eminem elevated it.

I have seen Snoop live, he is not great. Works off other guys to elevate him.

Will be interesting. Wonder if Gin and Juice will get a run lol. Probably his most known song.

Kornball just on SEN saying Gunston is a medium forward so doesn’t mean Hawks are playing four talls…..Meanwhile Walker is 1cm shorter and is deemed a tall which means Adelaide’s three talls are questionable….seriously talking $hit.

I’ve always thought Gunner played more like a medium tall. I don’t think height is the sole determining factor when it comes to key player roles. When Bont rests forward I don’t see him playing as a key forward.
