I actually think it would be negligible list management for Port to trade for Nas given the holes in their list.

Realistically it’s going to cost them Bergman, Berry and a first. They can’t afford to lose talent as there is so little depth at that club. Adding generation talent is great but they’re so far off contending it’s not funny

I'm starting to really dislike this Nas bashing about his family. You have no idea what's going on behind closed doors. Notwithstanding there is no evidence to suggest he is homesick and wants to leave for that reason, I'd also like to see how alot of you big time boys would go being 22, in a different State and with the amount of pressure/spotlight he is under.

If he's such a delicate flower, then he shouldn't be an AFL footballer. Plenty of young men have to move interstate or overseas, under difficult family circumstances with far, far less assurances than what NWM would have. He is not owed anything, just as others don't hold candlelight vigils for the anonymous doing the same, and under significantly more duress.

Those muppets on the Saturday Rub were saying a few months ago that Nas would be signing on with us for the next two years.

They don't have any more of a clue than the rest of us, they are just guessing, I don't think anyone really knows apart from Nas.

I would pretty much rule out Draper in a trade. He’s from Adelaide he wouldn’t want to come to Vic to play for the Saints.

The others you could argue gets them closer to home so might appeal.

Wouldn’t be so sure - if Nas is going there he’s further down the pecking order and might like the prospect of midfield minutes for us.

• Loves the club + Ross (I still believe this)
• Mates
• Young, building list
• Trade will be very hard to facilitate
• Can sign short term and still leave after two years
• We have clearly created an environment where he can thrive
• Cousin gets another shot at it

Going:

• family clearly desperate for him to come home
• Friends at Port (but he also has strong connections at the Saints)
• Success at the Crows (but does he believe in the list we are building?)

I think the money offered by the three clubs would be very similar. Unless the family connection is so so strong surely the staying outweighs the going?

FWIW a good mate of mine, from the Saints, was talking with me this afternoon about what we might be able to extract for him.

He also does not post on BF.

He was talking Rozee, Dawson, Butters types, that’s how we will position ourselves if he hits the frog and toad.
