He wants top 4 not just to make it. Leaving yourself more to do next week than you could have had you played the game out. It was 92 to 34 I believe after the CMAC goal. Keep it there were in 4th right now. If we do finish 5th let's hope both Geelong and Collingwood finish top 4 because that should mitigate travelling for us and all those possibilitiesJust listened to Sammy press.
You can definitely tell he wasn’t happy.. and rightfully so. I would expect we will be right up to it next Sunday.
Keep the margin at 10 goals mate where it was, isn't too much to ask is it?**** me we have some whingers in here tonight
Closest season in AFL history and y’all want 15 goal wins every week
We ain’t even in our prime yet
Should ship them off to the Melbourne board
Bad time for Morrison to get injuredLike it or not, the wing position is CJ's to lose. He was more than serviceable tonight, and hopefully continues to build.

Ask what?Keep the margin at 10 goals mate where it was, isn't too much to ask is it?
Correct, not a pot on him, just the brutal reality of sport.Bad time for Morrison to get injured
We have beaten one side all season
Mate we were dominating the game and got out to a 10 goal margin. I'd agree with you if it was a grind the whole game. We can settle for a participation award if we want or we can be a little more ruthless when the opportunity presents. Not sure what the issue is you have with it. Doesnt make me any less of a supporter which you seem to be implying.Ask what?
They don’t owe you anything
We have locked in finals and can make top 4 next week whilst missing arguably our 2 best players
Searching for perfection in an imperfect scenario
Of course he isn’t happy. We did not pump them or play at our best. We have beaten one side all season, Collingwood last week. We have failed every important test this year. This game had to be a 60+ win. We did not manage. Annoying.
We will end up in an elimination final scenario again as we haven’t won away all year against a team of merit, but for the swans round 1, and their season proved that the win wasn’t anything special.

He's got much more speed than Harry that's for sure, and can compete in the air better. Last 2 weeks is exactly what we want as fans from CJ, utilise your strengths and show you have been working on your deficiencies which he has. He was dangerous today and put himself in great spots to get the ballJiath was excellent in tight with one touch under pressure, dangerous when the ball came to outside in attack, and also great cover in defence. People may forget he was first choice wing over Morrison for a lot of last year, until Jiath got injured very late and Morrison stayed in on the back of several good games. Now it is the opposite situation, Morrison has been excellent all season and best 23, but injured at the wrong time and now Jiath is playing as well as he has all season after getting his chance. I personally think Jiath is a bit of a point of difference on the wing these last few weeks, and not sure Morrison takes his spot, but rather comes back as sub if he does get up next week.
I've been a bit pessimistic but that post was just silly from Kolo. What a load of crap. We had the hardest run home of any team in the competition (and probably the hardest over the whoel season, and the majority of experts we'd miss based on our draw. Yet we have secured a finals spot against the odds, playing for a top 4 next weekend. This with missing so many key players, Lewis/Dear for the whole first half, Day pretty much all year, 2-3 injuries to Worpel, Sicily really struggling with fitness, losing Weddle for the last couple of months just before our run home, etc. It hasn't been a perfect season, but it has been brilliant effort to be where we are given the difficulty of our draw and the interruptions to so many of our key players.

65% tog for Ward and 63% for Newcombe which is pretty much level with what Nash and Worps had in their higher rotation quarters.Newcombe and Ward only had one touch each in the last, I don't recall but did they spend time on the pine resting?
It's 8 points, yes it might matter but the margin is so small it's pretty insignificant. We just have to beat Brisbane and see what happens. We should be 1% ahead of Collingwood in 4th spot, not 1% behind Collingwood in 5th.
You even said its the closest season ever. Kicking straight matters. We blew so many chances.
You would think Collingwood will easily take care of Melbourne. We should be 1% ahead of Collingwood in 4th spot, not 1% behind Collingwood in 5th.

A common theme of posting across this board is that it's been a frustrating season. And I guess it has been in some ways, but this stat really puts it into perspective. We've done a LOT of winning and, I've said it before, but 18 months ago we were 0-5 and destined for a bottom 4 finish. It's nice to be good again and you just gotta enjoy the wins however you get them because they ain't guaranteedReflecting on the season this stat is pretty huge. It's a milestone.
It feels like we haven't played as well as we did last year, bar a few games like last week. Yet here we are with more wins on the board.
Regardless of how the finals campaign pans out that's a great springboard going into next season.

And currently 2 players missing that are potential top 10 players in the league.Since that start to 2024 we are 30 wins and 12 losses.
