Thanks for your 1 metre gained, Murphy.
Josh Daicos had arguably his worst game for the year. He was more than 30% below his season average in disposals etc.

Was he injured?
.
Did we do anything to stop him?

Were you at the game cmndstab?

The last time we played Collingwood Josh Daicos ripped us apart.

You do realise teams go differently year to year

Let’s be honest you’re just angry that Nicksy might preside over our best era as he’s trying to build sustainable success

You’ll prob think Balmey did it if it happens 🤣
Well Nicks couldn’t do it on his own like he thought

What makes me laugh is so many of the hacks on here that tried to say after round 12 that we haven’t improved as hadnt beaten any teams as per last few years

Now we pretty much beaten all of them 🤣

So many negative nellys on here, they’re starting to come around but will sook it up all way to our next flag wherever that might come
Again your first post is this

Enjoy the win champ and stop trying to win points on the internet

I gather Murphy tagged him. No, I wasn't at the game. Most times I saw Daicos on TV it seemed like Murphy was nowhere near him, but if he was taken out of the match by Murphy then good job, I guess. I'm a little confused as to how he did it, considering I barely saw him in the play and he had almost no tackles.

To be fair to Murphy, he probably would have had 2m gained if he hadn't slipped over backwards 1m before having HTB paid against him.

19 disposals, 20 last week.

Josh Daicos is a key factor in their success. The most influential things he did tonight was take the kick outs.

Prior to tonight he was averaging more than 28 disposals a match. Is it that hard to admit our coaches devised an effective plan and Murphy did the job?

I know it’s been a tough 3 months for you. Keep your chin up, you might be able to celebrate a straight sets exit in a few weeks time.

He had 11 disposals to half time then 2 for the 3rd quarter but got off the chain ahain for 6 in the last when it was vital to shut him down

As noted by cmndstab Murphy looked to be playing him 2-3m off . Was it effective? Maybe . Who knows who else took up the slack when he wasnt near

I would expect a close checking defender to be - you know - close

Then when we have the ball to be loose

It was bloody obvious to anyone at the match that understands football. We stopped Josh Daicos getting uncontested possessions and Collingwood just blasted the ball into their F50 and our boys mopped it up.

I’m not sure if we will use Murphy again in this type of role. It made things very difficult for Taylor who usually plays the defensive forward role. It wouldn’t surprise me if Murphy isn’t in the 23 next week but the Murphy Derangement Syndrome over the last few days has been ridiculous.

He did his job tonight, end of story.

But, but, but everyone checked the stats so he must have been garbage.
