Occam's Razor for me just says that a bunch of absolute morons who are paid to make shit up then copy from each other have done exactly that.Well what he was alleged to say to his team mates was that he was considering leaving, which we have known for months.
I'm sure teammates have been asking him where things stand without going into too much detail. And if he's asked, it's not like he is going to say "na I'm definitely staying don't worry about it."
So that he's told them he's considering leaving is merely par for the course.
The bigger question is why he supposedly told them if he were to leave it would be to Adelaide.

I'm confident that all three clubs are confident.Tom Morris revealed that Port Adelaide are confident, Adelaide are confident and St Kilda are worried but confident.
Take a 'C' and an 'O' and an 'N' and an 'F', and an 'I' and and a 'D' and an 'ENCE'.That makes me confident

I would say that one club probably knows for sure and the other two are delusional or at least overly optimistic. If he hasn't made a decision by this time of year he would have re-signed with St Kilda. It still baffles me that all 3 clubs are confident, that is the biggest horseshit. Restless but confidently restless. Lol. I would bet not one club is truly confident.

Could be the NAS camp playing all 3 sides though (or at least leaking it) to make the other sides lift their offer. It still baffles me that all 3 clubs are confident, that is the biggest horseshit. Restless but confidently restless. Lol. I would bet not one club is truly confident.
If anything, it's taken his game to another level.Pretty impressive that NWM is still performing pretty well with all this distraction.
Understand what you are saying here Chewy, however much of the AFL media appears to be opinion based. You do see journalists breaking stories but after that the next 95% is opinions and that seems to be where people are coming from when there is a lot of criticism of the AFL media.Yeah I vehemently disagree with this take.
When it comes to things like this, if you've ever spoken with journalists (both on and off the record) they will NEVER publish something without having at least one solid primary source who can verify the information. Their editor will not actually allow for any report of this nature to be made without the info having been verified by a primary source anyway.
This isn't the daily mail where the expectation is to publish innuendo and gossip paparazzi crap.
PR and the media cycle is a big game in the AFL world. I know plenty of occasions where a footy boss has leaked information to a journo, the journo has published it and then that same footy boss has fronted up at a presser and explicitly denied the claims made, even though they were the ones to leak them.
I find it hard to think he stays at the Saints for this exact reason.I would say that one club probably knows for sure and the other two are delusional or at least overly optimistic. If he hasn't made a decision by this time of year he would have re-signed with St Kilda.
Yeah I mean its not necessary that the journalist is the starter of the bullshit. But I still say its likely bullshit started by a bullshitter and then copied. Dropkick would have zero sources at St Kilda.Yeah I vehemently disagree with this take.

It’s already the biggest contract in history. How much more would he want?Could be the NAS camp playing all 3 sides though (or at least leaking it) to make the other sides lift their offer.
As much as he can get? It’s already the biggest contract in history. How much more would he want?
There's no way he's making that decision in a 2 to 4 week window. I would say he has pretty much known for the entire season or longer.I find it hard to think he stays at the Saints for this exact reason.
I don't necessarily agree that he's picked a side though.

To me it looks like a closed shop boys club where if you don't tow the AFL line you will get alienated. Just look at the way Rucci and Dillon got nationally slapped down for going off-piste.

Love Elvis movies!Take a 'C' and an 'O' and an 'N' and an 'F', and an 'I' and and a 'D' and an 'ENCE'.
Put them all together, and what have you got?

What incentive does a teammate have to be talking to a journo about something Nas has told them?Only have to look at how Mick Warner has been treated to know it's nothing more than a boys club.
Opinion is opinion. Fact is fact. When reporting something as fact, it has to be verified. Otherwise, it will not be published.
It would have had to come directly from a team mate at St. Kilda, because it wouldn't have been leaked by NWM's camp, and it wouldn't have been published unless verified directly at the source. What incentive do the teammates have to BS the journo about it?
