If we still have Ryan and Cripps on the list next year I dont think we do -- unless hes relatively cheap, which he might be.

Could just play Hewett/Reid down there a little bit more next year if we presumably have some sort of mature age midfielder added the list and Yeo back for parts of the year.
We should look at using a decent pick on a small forward of some sort though unless we are very confident Williams/Walley/Brockman/Champion/McGlade can be it for the future, probably need 3 of those guys to make it

We missed out on not having Owies on the list getting undeserved games every week.

In: FOS, North F1
Out: Pick 1, WCE F2, Hawks R1 (or WCE R2)

Allows them to pick up a ruck forward in CDT which they need and us to pick up a midfielder who I believe would tandem quite nicely with Reid/Hewett, as well as an in and under in Sharp or Hall.

This is especially the case if North Melbourne pick up Windhager (if the rumours are true).

Yukl. FOS has shown nothing this year to be worthy of pick 1. Let alone giving a heap of other stuff

If his kids have moved to WA then surely he’s not going to stay on the East Coast. Provided the ‘personal reasons’ that he currently is out with are not more complex and his head is in the right space then he would be a great addition. 26 by start of next year. Unfortunate he extended at the Pies this year until 2030.

Would almost be inclined to keep Ryan as a mentor but positionally Hill would be the perfect replacement albeit ideally he was in the 20-24 age bracket.

Safe to say he would prefer to go to a better side in Freo and they would be keen seeing they were after Kozzy but we could offer much more in a trade and salary for him.

I dont think North do the f1 for hawks 1st+wcef2 bit, they already have a couple of picks in that early 2nd round part of the draft. Considering it seems to be considered a relatively weak draft they may not want to trade into it for such a cost

Dont think they do the FOS bit either tbh, would need FOS to ask for a trade.

Id do it if I was west coast and it came across the table, 0 hesitation

Hill is a giant no. Not worth what he will cost us. Unless they ruck or play in the midfield just forget about it. Inclined to think that as far as defense goes we just pick no one and go with what we have. I think alot of people are ignoring just how few we have OOC. The list if Bazzo/Cole rumours are true is

So far its fair to say that is 6 off the main list. If we are chasing 2 mature agers then its 4 picks in the draft plus 1 Cat B in the rookie list. Id like to think paying out Barnett is a no brainer to go to 5 and 1 Cat B but the boys club lacks guts so id be surprised. if more then 2 mature agers come in then you gotta think people are going out. Its a case of Liam Ryan

Not getting a look in at Adelaide and they would surely off load him cheap if they don't delist him.

We have more draft capital to give. Would we do it? Who knows. I’m still skeptical that Freo ever had the cash for Kozzy or Chad when they are paying their rucks close to $2M alone plus their star mids. I doubt Fyfe and Walters would’ve been on much this year that’s freed up.

On paper we have some small forward depth but mostly unproven and Bobby is one of the best in the comp.

I would much rather we go hard to bolster our midfield but I think if he wanted to come to WC it would be similar to the Baker trade where the club feel obligated to make it happen. We would just have to pray they don’t butcher it the same way.

If he chose Freo it could also work out well for us as they might be more inclined to let go guys like Erasmus, Brodie and Reidy.

Agree. Even if he was cheap, would only take him if he gives leadership rather than needs leadership. That’s currently as much in short supply as straight up talent.
