Any predictions for bolters (or sinkers) within this 52? ex: Phillipou finishing the season top 10, Hibbins-Hargreaves falling from 1st to 2nd round etc.

I rate 19 other players better. In that fwd category, i rate Marsh, King, Luduwyke and Schubert higher.

In regards to the others, this is not a mock draft, just my rankings, where they are taken in the draft will be totally different unless teams take BPA according to my list.

I think Hibbins-Hargreaves has got talent, undeniably, but the more i have seen the less i am impressed compared to others of a similar position.

Thredgold, Kondogiannis, McCarthy, Mellor and Byrne could all go higher in the actual draft.

I think from about 25 onwards its a dogs breakfast and any of them could be in totally different positions on the rankings and i wouldnt bat an eye lid, there will be some good players (after a few years) found from this draft after that 25 mark but IMO, it is not deep and the talent drop off is visible.

Prompt reply mate, commend you for that.

I realise I didn’t provide context but I was actually shocked at seeing Curtin so high! I am pretty low on him as a prospect generally let alone amongst such a strong KPF top end.

Thredgold another one who has been getting thrown around in the WC sub as a draft option, whom I don’t really see it with? What makes him so likeable?

Love Kondo and Byrne from what I’ve seen, can see both of them going end of first round.

I reply if I'm online.
Thredgold can play in multiple positions and while he could still use the ball a bit better or offload to a runner instead when down back, he just never really does anything wrong. He is smart with positioning and has great size, coupled with the capability to go fwd as well he presents as a nice option.
Curtin does have dual positional traits, but it also goes to show the lack of depth in this draft for the bigs.

Does Tom Blamires Frankston Vfl have a chance of being drafted. Playing in their midfield this year & doing well.
Tom is of that age where he does have a chance, playing well in a team that is finally back in the top part of the vfl.
I have personally watched him live a few times this year.
His game has definitely improved this year and he has strengthened his body which has shown in games against AFL listed players in the vfl teams. I think he would have to be a rookie or late ND chance, summer train on at the very least. The problem with guys like him is the clubs who are picking for players like that, they usually get them and use them as depth players only or play them out of position and they get cycled out of the system pretty quick so he would need a good run at it with whichever club gives him a chance.

What l like about him is his versatility.
Played B.P, wing & forward for Sandy, now in the guts for Frankston.

No Sam Swadling ?

He was close, there is a big group from about 30 to 65 and all could be in different positions as I have mentioned earlier, but in my eyes Sam just missed out on that top 50 I did at that time.
Swadling will be drafted in second round
He is the best handballer in this draft
He is a genuine inside mid

He is a genuine inside mid
Maybe that's a knock on him? Does he have any other traits besides being a genuine inside mid? Teams are looking for players with more flair and upside and some one dimensional inside mids tend to not have as much potential as other dynamic mids. (I haven't looked into him alot, just saying maybe that could be a reason)

Any small defenders in the mould of Jacob Bowey or Kane Farrell in this draft?
I reckon the Saints badly need one.

Played a lot on a forward flank too i believe

What are your thoughts on Toby Whan? And Lucas Robinson? (I know Robinson is next year but keen to hear your thoughts) thanks mate.
Toby reminded me a bit of Hamish Davis last year, however set himself apart when Rodriguez was not around in the midfield with him. He still needs to work on learning a few different positions properly as he has the attributes to do so. He would project as a half forward or half back role player, can he move into the midfield in the future, I don’t see why not. His kicking needs work, so too his decision making with ball in hand and because of that I see him lasting till at least the second half of the draft. Would be a good stash for Freo.
Lucas is one I am watching close for next year. I have only watched three games of his, for other reasons, and he was very noticeable, plus, what a big kid already.

Fincher, your nga, can play different roles already too, and, as you may have already have seen, has recently moved into the midfield.
Apart from him, Oscar Taylor, Finn Davis, Lachie Carmichael (syd acad), Tom Burton.

What do you think the tigers will do with pick 3 and 4?
Really depends on many things.
A. Who is available
B. Who has been bid on and if not, do they want to bid on them
C. What compo picks have been handed out and are teams offering anything significant for either of the picks Richmond own
D. Areas of need V BPA, or is a BPA within an area of need
E. Do they like someone/rate someone on their board higher than others might therefore can trade back a few spots and enhance next years pick haul, or gain a player or two from another club within the trade and then take the player they like at that later pick

Firstly I think Richmond will get Rosas Jnr for almost nothing from GC, covering the small forward need.

Honestly, if it were up to me, I would try to trade one back and gain a good player in a position of need or a future first from someone whilst still keeping a top ten pick this year and use the early pick on a BPA, then the second one to get a quick line breaking mid.

I think WCE take Duff-Tytler then bid on Annable, Brisbane match, then WCE take Duursma.

Richmond could and should bid on one or both of Gc academy kids, which will be matched, then Tigers would probably pick Sharp. Whether they do trade the second pick back or not they should then grab Grjl with that second pick.

I think I’d genuinely cry bad tears if we drafted CDT

It could be sharp and Duursma but I just think you need a cdt. Let’s face it, you need a lot more too but it’s more of a gut feel and also the word on the street. Do you have any word on who they are actually looking at and not just who you want? Genuine question.

Our recruiting manager is SA based and is a huge fan of Sharp
So expect Duursma then Sharp combo
WCE never bid on other academy talents so will require a policy change for us to bid on a
Brisbane's Annable or Uland or Patterson with our early picks
We need mids more than ruckman at this stage and 2026 and 2027 has very good WA ruckman available

Correct about the WA rucks. 100% mate. There are no better ruck than Van Rooyen (2026) and Walsh (2027)
