Remember Dan Houston last year? Wouldn't be swayed by Mini's comments. It is posturing before trade period.
So we have Lyon saying we won't trade contracted players ( unless on our terms), and then go after a WCE contracted player. WC think well, will goose and gander.
Fair enough.

Oh the player wanting back is Dunstan, just so he can walk out and burn his career again.

Well Wood is our Young Development Leader

And Hill is our Indigenous Player Leader.

So would be amazed in either were not at the Saints next year as both have a value beyond the actual match.
Did I say they wouldn’t be?

Both play on the wing might be the point. Without out them there might be a need for a stop gap. Hence acres isn’t a need.

Can't believe Stanley might go round again
If you were a chance at a flag and a multiple hundreds of thousands a year in your bank account.

You would hold on to your spot until your legs fell off 😂

Been to Maasai Mara, Amboseli National park and Taita Hills private sanctuary in Tsavo West NP, where the shots of the elephants were taken, off to Mombasa currently.
Well you have much to still enjoy then. Enjoy!

Maasai Mara was amazing. Lots of game including Hippos in the river. No fences around our tentat night, just Massai Warriors who fended off any big cats that wandered through.

Amboseli also very good. Made better by Kilimanjaro being on the horizon.

Ours is only two weeks in Kenya, your trip looked awesome. What an experience.

Yes we had an amazing trip. Great preparation to post on this forum!

he 26 days driving on a Self-Drive (each couple had our own Land Rover) from Nariobi to Victoria Falls starting with the Maasai Mara, then some small private places, then Amboseli and then many more, including a stop off in Zanzibar.

Then we did our own thing. Took a Taxi to Botswana Border, and crossed by speed boat and explored Chobe National Park which was another ripper. Then off to Cape Town via Johannesburg by jet.

Cape Town and the region is stunning and we enjoyed a week there. Enjoyed two of our best dining experiences ever at The Test Kitchen and also at the Overture Restaurant Stellenbosch . Then hired a car and explored the Garden Route along the coast for a week. Then flew up into Kruger National Park and hired a car there and drove around for week game spotting from the Rest Camps. 2 nights in a Private Game Reserve for a taste of luxury, before flying back to Oz.

It was an fantastic way to spend two months, and right up there as one of our best trips that we have enjoyed.

To have a wild three tonne elephant drinking 10 feet from us and to have he look me directly in the eye waxa once in a lifetime experience. She was probably thinking, I could turn you into a pretzel if I chose to 😅
Yes Africa is full of such encounters and moments. Our widest moment was in Kruger where two lions mated right next to the hire car that we out game spotting in.

Tough calls to make on Schoey and Carroll.

I think Carroll has the tools to make the grade, as does Schoey but list spots are tight if we’re going to bring in Aleer, TDK, Ryan, Voss, Fincher, first rounder & potentially Campagli then some players are going to have to go.

Do we do the old delist and re-draft as rookies?

Obviously we probably had to win these games to keep nas, but not finishing bottom 6 is gonna hurt us next year in relation to fixturing. Draft wise I don’t think it’ll make too much of a difference as there is no clear top 6 but a soft draw would be nice for next years push up the ladder.

I think a team like Geelong proves that winning is always a better building block long term.

Drafting top end talent and easier fixtures are obviously good, but nothing beats a club that builds a competitive culture, the players would feel the confidence and surely it helps attract FA and established players to your club.

gut says next year is going to be very exciting with the growth in belief of the current group and the projected influx of some genuinely good players

Given the money in the sport, players will be hanging on for dear life now to play well into their thirties.

The minimum salary will be much more attractive that the prospect of joining the rest of us plebs in production line

I met Dunstan in Blessington St Gardens, StKilda with a few of his new Melbourne teamates.
Had a chat & he was of the belief that he was under-valued at the Saints.
I wasn't a fan of his.
And he faired worse there.

Acres is lazy and is a dumb footballer, has zero football iq, and would be a liability in, a structured Lyon team.
Can't run like Wood let alone like the extreme running of Hill and kicks sky balls worse then the Gramumbulance.

If he was at the Saints when Lyon turned up he would be gone by now.

I'd dump Carroll, and perhaps give Schoenmaker another year.

I'd really like us to go into next year with a list spot available for the MSD. We lost a trick not being able to utilize it this year.

Wasn't he a classic FIGJAM that didn't deserve the moniker?
