If there’s one thing I’ve learned this season…the difference between the top 9 and bottom 9 is the level of punishment you cop if you turn the ball over…

There is very little wiggle room for mistakes…you nearly have to expect a goal the other way most times…

Blakiston needs to learn how to spoil and try not to take pack marks.

Nguyen decision making under afl pressure.

Unwin - speed of afl and decidion making.

Mcmahon - strength and sacrifice to non dangerous spots.

Roberts - less disposals more defending. Get the balance right, tipping the wrong way.

Lual - impact as he goes missing

Clarke - keep improving, free kicks and arguing with umps

Perkins - always threatens, never does.

Overall disposal and decison making remain a issue. Also merret as the only a Lister hurts.

Not just tonight but consistent themes shined through.

Interesting off season.

Have we ever won when redman gets close or over 30. Not a loose man as cant structure up team defensively. Would have liked to see him have some cba and in the middle a bit tonight.

That was frustrating. It shouldn't be that hard to kick anywhere but where Weitering is.
Merrett had some uncharacteristic turnovers early, but I'm probably only remembering those because they were uncharacteristic. He was a tackling beast and that laser to Kako was beautiful.
Johnson was good when he went on.
Lual was okay. El Hawli was okay.
Redman had a good game under the circumstances. Clarke was good.
Shiel was pretty poor I thought.
Menzie. Ugh.

Those uncontracted for next year did themselves no favours tonight.

Must be tough playing with no certainty.

Goldy, menzies, mcmahon, prior, lual, shiel, Blakiston all poor and below standards.

Much stronger Essendon lineups than this have thrown in the towel for these late-season dead rubbers.

Have to respect the fact that at the very least, the effort is still there.
Was thinking about this late in the game.
The competition for spots when players start returning from injury should be much better now that so many will have senior experience. Training standards hopefully spike over preseason now.
