Just doesn't sound feasible to spend that much $ on 3 players. We're plenty aware of that too as Carlton supporters.

I think they need to fill in the gaps in that specific age range. TDK was drafted the year they selected Coffield and Clark at 7 and 8 ahead of names like Aaron Naughton, Oscar Allen, Darcy Fogarty, Zac Bailey, and Ed Richards.

That 25-28 range where players are peaking and impacting they got Clark, Higgins, Butler and pretty much doughnuts. Good drafting since, and Geelong was similar in that regard around 2022, but they don't have veterans holding it together like we did

What he does extremely well is play as a mobile ruckman, roving his own taps, drifting forward while playing ruck to take marks, taking marks around the ground.

Why would SOS up the offer to TDK to 1.8m x 8 years if the deal was done?

Is SOS happy to blow even more of the cap for larks, or is there no final commitment from TDK to the saints?

You can only front load so much of a contract when it is valued at $12m or so over 7 years. Even paying him $2m a year for the first two years means he'll average $1.6m over the remaining 5.

The media are just taking what they think he is getting per year for the front ended part and then are multiplying it up to get what they think the total contract value is.

You are then it would seem taking the Media's fictional total and working back.




The Media did the same thing with Port's offer to Nasiah. They took Port's first 2 years and them multiplied it up to make it much bigger that it was. The Media want Click bait, and so exaggerate.

Nas became a 3 Club bidding war.

No other Club is anywhere near what St Kilda has offered TDK. There is no bidding war. Nas being recontracted was most likely the last aspect TDK maY have needed to come on board.

Moving marshal won’t save any salary we front loaded the hell out of his last deal his owed very little over the next two seasons, that’s why we are more than happy to keep him and tdk unless a overs trade deal was offered, the only player apart from nas now that’s on substantial money is max king

Outside of Cripps, all our other 4 to 5 are under 1million and Cripps is on 1.1m.
