Do you mean Carlton?Re:Charlie
Remember when everyone thought Franklin was going to one club but it was actually the OTHER club.
‘Jungle’ drums might just be beating.
Swapping Charlie for a younger version with GWS?Re:Charlie

Presumably BrisbaneDo you mean Carlton?
Makes more sensePresumably Brisbane
Or Carlton?Presumably Brisbane
Obviously an optionOr Carlton?
So we give Charlie (under contract until 2029) and get another under performing small in Bailey (RFA at the end of 2026) who averages 1.09 goals a game. No Thanks. Start with Lohmann and go from there.Re:Charlie

Good pointIf it is Zak butters then one of George or cerra would need to be involved purely from the fact we would have too many midfielders, especially given lord and smith coming on

Oscar Allen is going to Brisbane they are not after Charlie .So we give Charlie (under contract until 2029) and get another under performing small in Bailey (RFA at the end of 2026) who averages 1.09 goals a game. No Thanks. Start with Lohmann and go from there.
Don’t understand the ambiguity why not say the name rather than initials.
If the rumour is we are chasing both and will land either one, why not say that?
If the rumour received is by the initial and the poster doesn’t know which one, why not say so?
I like a rumour and happy to debate them but I don’t get why if it shared at all, why it can’t be stated in simple terms without the obfuscation.

Ah yes, in the box that opens up i had previously started responding to a post by him...so it was all there, when i went to delete his post it deleted your details.... sorry!Given I wrote the Original Post - how did you manage to get Matty411 as the OP?
They would have to be mindsplittingly bonkers cuckoo bananas insane to countenence even considering him leaving. He is what you build around: an uncompromising, consistent, tough, back to the wall motivator with high quality skills and legspeed. Why is Butters seen as impossible?
- Voss connection
- Potentially Hinkley connection
- He’s a FA next year, surely Port would rather something substantial this year vs. a random compo next year?
- We have 2x compos coming in
We have enough to make it happen, we’d still have to give up a good player, no doubt.
Hands are no goodWould make a sensational small forward![]()
Question really is does he wnat to stay beyond next yearThey would have to be mindsplittingly bonkers cuckoo bananas insane to countenence even considering him leaving. And Brisbane would only be slightly less nuts to get rid of Bailey. He's cream, but you don't go and give a team with clear strengths and deficiencies that you know you can beat at their best a way to turn one of those deficiencies into a strength. It would be a terrible trade for them, one which would result in us getting better and them getting worse in the short to medium term; they would be trading him at his lowest value rather than maximising their return.
I'd love it to be true, I've wanted Butters since he was drafted. But I don't think it's likely.
If you're asking me what I'd do, I'd retain him this year and move heaven and earth to get him to stay.Question really is does he wnat to stay beyond next year
If as a club you know a player won’t be there, then if you feel you can get more value today than waiting a year, you take the better offer don’t you?
It’s very clear they meant Zemplas, Basil is coming to Carlton.
Like to think there’s a red or green curry, a casket of beers + some up the nose, no sleep and some dodgy goings-on with a little bit of sneaky downtime to throw out a Blumour post in Thailand early morning.Best time to post bluemours. A few beers, a dodgy vindaloo, vivid dreams, wake up and post
