Not sure if already posted.

Ralphy saying we never offered him an ‘offical contract’.

Starcevich bit from the article
Lions players believe Starcevich is more likely to stay at Brisbane or move back home to play with the Eagles.

WCE don't care about their members because they are a business and not a football club.
If their members had votes like at some other clubs they would act differently.
The Club has known since Friday and said nothing.
That’s terrible.
Anyway, who cares about Oscar Allen when you have Jobe Shanahan.
He’s already everything Oscar never will be.

Not sure you can call letting our captain leave so we can bank the pick 2 compensation as really being "proactive".

Now if the Ryan trade happens on the other hand, or any trade (Billiams, Jilliams) then i'll know the club is proactive.
It’s getting ‘overs’ by playing the system.

Now the last team to do it, Roos got Zane Duursma after walking McKay. Duursma could be on his way to the Dons for a 2nd round pick 2 years later.

Nothing is guaranteed at the draft

Didn't he literally say yesterday he had no idea what he was doing yet? :tearsofjoy: Every man and his dog knew for 6 months he was gone. I know you just can't out and say yeah I'm out the door, deuces ✌️. But it's still pretty funny.

I've said it multiple times on here. Allen decided he was going months ago. Eagles have played this well.
They didn't bite they just played the process.

Channel 9 article saying Brisbane's offer could be 6 years at 1 million a season

Excellent Reading that ......... Pick # 2 come on down.

Played 108 games in 8 seasons.

That's sums it up really. Poorly.managed early always playing 3rd fiddle to Kennedy darling and then poor durability.

If the lions get 80 games out of him and fit at the pointy end of the season, they might get the money's worth.

For us. It's a sad bookend to nizzys handling of things after COVID.

You’ve missed the entire point of my post. Well done. 0/10

I've re-read you post and see the point of it now.
My apologies.

However isn't this a shallow draft?
Is there enough talent to do it?

As with all former eagles players, I do wish them the best of luck (except when they line up against us).

This one will leave a sour taste in manys mouths but I feel. At least it's likely to net us pick 2, you'd take that for a banged up Allen every day of the week.

On a more outsider looking in view, although he seemed like a real Club man, I always got a weird vibe with Allen. Storeys of him sooking it up big time after the '18 GF as he wasn't involved sort of confirmed in my view that he really is after personal success first and foremost. He's gone to a successful club in their window, so he may just achieve that, IF he can keep his body together

looking at comments by MCQ and others on Allan and Ryan, it looks like we got together and worshopped (catered) a plan on how not to give away the game plan before the game even started.

now just like goal kicking, all well and good to do it in training, key would be not to shit the bed when the game is on the line.

Losing Allen and now possibly Ryan sucks. Great players when on song and not perpetually injured, but it's been a while for either of them to be like that consistently.

In saying all that, I'm not going to shed a tear for either. Good luck to both of you in your future endeavours, but I hope the clubs you play for - the same way I feel about all 17 other clubs - amount to sweet f*ck all and you lament leaving us.

I can't read any of your posts without overlaying Bender's voice and mannerisms. it makes it interesting.

Oscar is a really good fella, great with the kids too. He wants to stay, we want pick 2. If we’re top 8 or even top 12 and on the way up he’d be signed up.

Everyone is perfectly entitled to shit can him if they want to but this situation is due to the poor management of the list, not because of Oscar. Even though I share the view that I want him to go and would prefer pick 2, there’s nothing wrong with showing him a bit of respect.

He can stay. He doesn't want to. Thats cool. We need quality mids.
