Its hard to believe how young we are. We've got one of the youngest playing lists in the comp I hear.

I think the whole re-interpretation is misguided. Or at least as far as they've taken it.Re the HTB interpretation, I thought it hurt Ally Morphett in our game. Twice she was tackled and HTB was paid even though she proceeded to use her power to legitimately dispose of the ball. Also seemed inconsistent because they weren't paying HTB that quick against mids at stoppages at times. I reckon Scotty Gowans should consider talking to the umps about Ally in particular because using her power and strength to fight off a tackler is a big part of her game and why should she have to put it away?
Maybe its too early to name it after someone. There isn't really a long AFLW history. It took quite a few years after Coleman played for the medal to be introduced and I guess he stood out as being the best till then.I went looking but I couldn't find it - what's the Coleman Medal equivalent in AFLW?
That's what I figured. They should at least have Leading Goal Kicker as medal and then retrospectively name it rather than have nothing.Maybe its too early to name it after someone. I took a look at the all time leading AFLw goalkickers in all seasons total and its around the 80 mark. Most of the kickers on that list have averaged one goal a game. The best season tally is around the 20 mark amd thats been achieved only the last few seasons. Chloe is definitely setting new early benchmarks with 11 in 2 games in line for best season goals and to make her average goals per game one of if not the highest.
Maybe in the future but there are so many good young players and much more attacking play and great goals. Who knows where Harris, Painter, Contra and many other even more polished and skilful players coming through will take this goalkicking to a new level of benchmark

They say it's to keep the ball moving more. To have fewer stoppages. But when the opportunity to move the ball is just given to the person second to the ball, that seems against the spirit of the game.
But also, if you want teams to be able to actually move the ball and put together chains of possession, they need a second or two to actually dispose of the ball in a constructive fashion. If they're just obliged to get rid of it immediately, I think some games will just become grassy pocket pinball, where the ball never really moves anywhere.
They handled the tigers really well. And had a bit more class in finishing. They look like a solid well drilled team and less wasteful.Just watched the Tigers-Bombers game. Bombers will not be easy. Took a while to shake the Tigers off but looked pretty solid.
That really was a great little speech...and they hugged and went out and competed for a big part of that fourth quarter. It was really nice mindful coaching.During the PA vs GC game at 3/4 time they listened in to Rhyce talking to his troops. Praising his kids for their efforts and doing everything to lift their spirits. I wish he was back at the Swans.

North smashing Freo was a surprise. Freo played finals last year and I was expecting a closer contest. Expect Freo to come out with guns blazing next week after that thrashing. It was a pretty short-lived record for the power. Has just been broken by the Kangas less than 24 hours later.
Might not be long before it's broken again. Somebody recently was making the point that while the competition is in its infancy records are going to be broken regularly all the time. And that trend will increase if they increase the number of players, number of teams, lengths of quarters etc.
They had a decent smattering of supporters around the outer hill areas from the looks of the coverage.I don't where I've been, maybe living under a rock?- but I had no clue GWS also play at Henson Park.
Freo are also going to be weakened by who I think was their standout in the first quarter..O'Driscoll. She at least provided some decent kicking to targets. I think she might be out under the concussion protocol. They looked slow.North smashing Freo was a surprise. Freo played finals last year and I was expecting a closer contest.
