This is a media nuffies take so we can cool our jets on thinking a first is the asking price.
Not high on Dovaston myself. Only average speed, not a great contested player and looks to have iffy ball use from what I saw at the champs. Our list has too many smalls and flankers who either struggle or not willing to win a contest. Smalls with speed and good ground contest win free kicks and get easy shots on goals. All except for Jack Higgins anyway.
Nah not at all , my badYes mate. I know it was a joke.
But It looked more like you were calling me a Pokemon and that I had evolved.
I didn't mean afford as in cash , I'm not stupid , i meant taking a list spot for a bloke who will most likely never make it, id rather draft another project tall and start again as Roma wont go on foreverNot sure about affording to keep him. Either way l don't see it breaking the list.

Is he an inside/outside combo mid? Nas is more outside than inside. The past coaches always just thought the answer to our poor forward entry, poor general skill level is outside class hence Hill, when our biggest issue is to get the ball and get it cleanly so he can release it to a running player streaming forward, if we can do that, then the whole team's skill level will instantly improve. Flat footed and skills under pressure are never going to result in quality football. If we retain our first + NAS becoming a pure mid.
Josh Lindsay is a very interesting prospect.
He is good.A question for those who have actually seen Mini Poo play , is he any good or are some just wanting that love story of brothers playing together AKA King twins ,
He is good.
But the completely balanced view is that, he missed a lot of football. What we have seen looks good. But how good is he is still up for debate.
I didn’t catch the game… was interchange steward for our local footy finals so kept the phone away other than checking a few scores.
How did Aleer look? Only 12 disposals but had 9 intercepts. Curious to know how he looked.
Drafts best kick by some way apparently. Real play maker off half back. Constantly wants ball in hand.Is he an inside/outside combo mid? Nas is more outside than inside. Whist Hall, Garcia, Philipou and Windhagher have shown good signs, we still need more mids who can win the first ball, can either burst out himself or has the nous and composure to bring it to the outside. Along with a better tap Ruckman, that's how we will improve, less panic kicking, possession under pressure.
St Kilda don’t have a second-round pick and a straight swap for their first-round pick — which sits at No.7 — in exchange for Ryan isn’t going to get that deal done.
But the Eagles could look to swan Ryan and the first-round pick they obtained from Hawthorn — which could blow out to the late teens come the end of September — for pick No.7 and a later selection.
Another half back, think we should target inside/outside combo mids at the first pick for most value. just look at Josh Lindsay from Demons, without someone winning the ball for him, he's less effective. We just need more contested beasts in the midfield first.. then build it out that way, can always play mids at half back/half forward rather than hoping a flanker to play mid ala Billings, Clark, Coffield, Mckenzie.Drafts best kick by some way apparently. Real play maker off half back. Constantly wants ball in hand.

That's the one i want then ,Drafts best kick by some way apparently. Real play maker off half back. Constantly wants ball in hand.
That’s the issue. He missed all the main stuff through injury. So your ranking his SANFL stuffId want a lot more vision that that to convince me , its SANFL Under 18's , Hardly quality football
Half the time these games look like the little league at half time.
If he is only a small forward fine but if we want him to be a mid its a no , i want some bigger bodies as we are always up against bigger bodies
Finchers kicking is nowhere near as good as Lindsay.Be a waste honestly.
Fincher plays that role and can rack them up. If you’re going like for like I’d rather have Fincher be that quarterback role and Lindsay to be an out and out mid.
There is absolutely no way we give up our first pick for Ryan. It won't happen. If they are steadfast on wanting that - which they aren't dumb enough to do - then we will withdrawObviously its a media statement, but it doesnt hide the fact the Ryan is still CONTRACTED. WCE will play hard ball, Id rather not get into a negotiation over a 29yo full stop. Although I disagree with your assessement of Dovaston, its also blatantly obvious there will be plenty to select from with our first draft selection! Thats of course if we dont trade it out......?
We have had decades of quick fix sugar hits - why fall back into that trap?

He looks like he has it all.I still just want kids that are good kicks, we need players who get the ball from A to B quickly , not these damn floaters that hang in the air giving everyone a chance to spoil or intercept , penetrating kicks are so dangerous
Don’t think there is anything wrong with your take.Correct but Lindsay is also better in transition.
Fincher accumulates the ball better as well.
Ideally both become midfielders but Lindsay’s point of difference makes him better as an out and out mid imo.
Happy to concede to others who have watched more though.
Think Collard is going to be fine. One thing he does need is bit of space, like Higgins, they are never going to be able to beat a flooded defence/extra intercept marker, put Collard at the feet of Keeler in an open forward line, and Higgins at the feet of King, both will profit handsomely.. when Collard is more physically developed, he will become a Charlie Cameron clone.Every player drafted should be able to win their own ball whether it be in the air or at ground level. Thats my concern with Collard, he is an elite finisher but as yet cant win his own footy. Shoenmaker is in the same boat but they are both improving.
Someone mentioning on Saintsational that we are into Cam Mackenzie, our former NGA player. Not a bad player, not sure how we can make it happen trade wise.Don’t think there is anything wrong with your take.
Ultimately one is top 10 maybe top 5 touted and Fincher is 20-30 at best
Gee hawk board are split on him.Someone mentioning on Saintsational that we are into Cam Mackenzie, our former NGA player. Not a bad player, not sure how we can make it happen trade wise.
