Loved seeing this bloke in the blue and gold. The last WAFL game that I mustered the enthusiasm to go see was his first for East Perth at Fremantle Oval in 2017. He still carrying a bit of weight but still managed to kick 4 goals from memory. Looked a class above.

Great player, idiot of a bloke though.

Whole thing with the Gatorade derailed 2019 for us, and then to piss off to Port after all the support we gave him was incredibly disappointing. Other clubs would have pissed him off.

Wish him all the best in retirement, but he probably didn't get the most out of himself and his immense talent.

Will remember him propping and waltzing past a couple of blokes in traffic to snap a goal from the pocket at optus.

He kicked 27 goals in 18 games this year, and Port stank. Still has plenty of offer. Will probably go back to the Tiwi Islands and play NTFL or TIFL and stand in the goal square punching darts while kicking 7 a game. So talented.
First player in history to UberEats some KFC to the goal square mid-match.

Petch delisted is a tiny bit surprising, but was always gonna continue to have limited opportunities going forward. Hunt also seeing the same fate, decided to jump. Jamo and Loch as expected.

If a senior so called player can't dominate or significantly influence WAFL games then see you later.

Delays in making these types of calls, are part of the reason why we are, where we are.

Writing was on the wall when we were desperate for senior players and he wasn't cracking a game.

He was just too injury prone, never managed any continuity which probably stopped him from ever becoming anything more than a cameo in games.

Man going back to 2018/19 both Ryan and Willi looked like they were going to be future stars of the game. This was after years of struggling to find quality small forwards. Willie shot himself in the foo and ****ed off and never evenuated to anything special. Ryan faired a bit better and won an AA but constant injuried hampered his career post 2021

I know their last names start with the same letter but I don't think I've ever seen two more dissimilar looking indigenous players get mixed up so often.

The bloke who just took MOTY? That's Ryan. The little pork chop who called for the trainer after running over to give a high 5? That's Rioli.

Still not near enough list spots available for the draft and rookie listings. So surely more cuts to come, unless we are miraculously granted extra list spots.
With the addition of T-Mac & Newts, we only have 5 spots overall to fill.
You'd think we'll be looking at 4-5 players in the draft, plus a few F/S and NGA players. That's without addition of any traded in players or FA's.
Would be likely to bring in a minimum of 7 players up to 10, which is a pretty normal haul.
Perhaps 8 from the draft/rookie listings and 2 from trade/FA.
So at least a minimum of 3 players left to be cut.
Out of those, Chesser, Cole, Champion and Cripps almost guaranteed to be extended. Livingstone most likely to be delisted.
Could Crippa retire to make way? Perhaps Chesser left it too late to save his career? Ryan rumoured to be looking at other options.
As much as a lot of us would like to see it, it's unlikely Owies will be cut with 2 years still to run on his contract.
There are still options to delist players contracted for next year, like Barnett and Johnston.

Huh?

100%.

Petruccelle was drafted in 2017 so has done 9 AFL pre-seasons. He's averaging 14 touches and a goal a game in the WAFL. He has elite pace for AFL level and should have elite endurance for WAFL level but where are the games that make you think 'wow why is this guy playing ressies?'? If we have 5-10+ listed players in the Beagles side someone should be dominating.

The great Rowan Jones was dropped back and played one WAFL game in 2006. 40 disposals 8 marks. Mark LeCras had 35 and kicked 7, then 3 weeks later had 29 and kicked 8. Not bad for a 20 year old who never had 30 touches in 219 AFL games.

It's a real head scratcher when AFL players with experience go back to the WAFL and are ordinary.

I always liked Petch but the writing was on the wall. Thought he was going to be be a star as he was genuinely electric in his first couple of seasons.

IMO the turning point was getting caught HTB by Frost vs Melbourne when he got his jumper torn off him in a sling tackle around 2019 I think. He never took the game on or backed his pace in again after that.

Always thought he was going to be an absolute star.

Unfortunately the turning point was his 12th career game.

But no I know what you mean, rarely seen a guy so quick refuse to ever for a single moment consider getting out of second gear.

So hunt, Petro and Jamieson cut from the main list. Allen to leave and Rawlinson from the rookie list.
Doesn't leave much list space.
Gov and Sheed have already been replaced by MCarthy and Newton.

Apparently Cripps and Cole are getting new contracts. Bazzo and Chesser got deals.
No one else to cut unless they payout Barnett or Owies which isn't going to happen.
Leaves no room for trades and only 4 draft picks. Seems light on for cuts. Unless we've already been told we're getting extra list spots and we’re going to move Cripps and Cole to the rookie list.

Does Starcevich scrubbed off the list to avoid the risk of diluting the Oscar pick?
No .
We can trade and not effect our compo .
Brisbane who would get nothing for starcivich due to getting allen should be happy with a late pick for academy points or a future late pick

The sad reality might be we have tried to get players to come across and they have all said no

I'm hoping we get extra rookie spots as part of our shitness package .

Means Brock Tmac and newton can all stay on the rookie list
