Knowing this do you think getting dropped is more an indictment on Williams or the Freo forward depth?

Don’t bother PS , this 🍑 🤡 thinks pulling out random stats and subjective ratings declaring them as “facts”- (then we he gets owned on basically every metric - moves the goalposts )as some sort of flex cause he “thinks he’s so clever winning an argument on the internet.

For 10 years, yes. Although recent stuff is too early to tell due to the time it takes for players to emerge. Therefore it might be a 7 year period that you have stuffed up and only time will tell if the system has been fixed in the past three seasons.

You still haven’t provided a metric that suggests Amiss outperforms Williams when they play this season.

Even your own supporters have wanted him dropped throughout the year.

What's funny here is J Williams is a Fwd/ ruck and we have been experimenting and rotating with A Reid, J Williams and also B Williams for that role.

Its a difficult role and we have multiple options.

Freo are backing in Amiss long term, that's a given. Hence why he is playing even with lower averages.

Even funnier is J.Williams has similar stats despite playing 15% less time on ground, in a god awful team which he got dropped from.

Amiss really has been gifted games this season, possibly just due to being pick 8.

IMO either J Williams is being traded or Bailey Williams is getting games to hopefully improve his trade status.

One of them won't be there in 2026.

Amiss is a long term player for Freo. And there are other decent forwards at Freo competing for supply.

His average in 2025 may be....average...
but long term he likely improves.

Based on his career trajectory, next season he won’t crack a goal a game.

Genius piece of recruiting by Freo for Adam Cerra to ask to be traded to Carlton allowing them to acquire the pick used to draft Amiss at pick 8. Just like those times Brad Hill and Lachie Neale and Lachie Weller and Lachie Schultz and Ed Langdon and Griffin Logue and Blake Acres and... all asked to leave.

But yes, Oscar Allen is exploring free agency and if he signs we will get pick 2. So pot shot that.

So far he is doing just fine with little help. That will only increase with time, not decrease. I would have thought there would be safer options too, for Brisbane, given Allen has had a lot of issues getting on the park over the last 2 years.

Trading TB got us a first and second round pick this year. Allen leaving will get us pick 2. I'd love to still have both on the list going into 2026 but we're not going to get anywhere picking once in the top 30 each year. We need to do something to try and get some elite talent onto the list and at the end of the day TB is 30 and Allen doesn't have a body of work to support his awesome 2023 season. Last year we had AA McGovern and TB anchoring the defence, AA Waterman kicking 50+ goals and Allen coming back and playing well the last 5-10 games... and we still came 16th.

I've seen WC at opposite ends of the ladder plenty of times and I've heard 100s of opinions about it. I have never seen so much concentrated negativity directed at every single thing the club does or doesn't do, though.

I think getting cheap but experienced players will be important.

It’s can be a slow burn but both players have been slow out of the blocks and aren’t exactly dominating or tearing it up. They look like AFL players but not sure they will become what you hope they do just yet. Not enough to take them over Sheezle or Cadman with hindsight.

I might have not answered the question and I should actually the answer the question for the thread as well. I ****ing DESPISE the AFL handing out these picks. No one should be given jack-shit. However, I also acknowledge the draft is ****ed for bottom teams and other clubs got given picks when they shouldnt have.

I would probably like the block out of bids for the top 10 and then literally remove giving priority picks from the laws of the game. Stand on your own two feet or die
