I’m not sold on Ryan - I know we need a genuine small I’m not a Butler fan pressure good don’t think he hurts on scoreboard or is dynamic enough…but a 29yr old? Age profile worry
Aleer - I see big risk …can our defensive system lift him to play to his potential ?? At least age profile is ok
Can McKenzie ….age profile nice multiple years mid rotation fit could make sense
JSOS age ok ….gets injured and does he really help our lack of a big defender gap ?? Dougal getting near the end ..BIG gap for mine
I at least like there’s no Zack Jones type throw bargain bin deals in this lot … plus we keep our 1st pick …so it makes sense and you can’t say RTB isn’t having a swing

I am convinced Tom Morris just runs every single story and then puts caveats like “NO ONE KNOWS THOUGH” or “AT THIS TIME” on the end.

Walking, talking definition of a broken clock being right twice a day. Also he’s a knob head.

Everyone can have their preferences with journos, but he’s just being honest, there’s something there, but it’s not a definite. We’re all fueled by speculation, it would be a boring space if only guaranteed deals could be reported on.

That's why WC have come out today and said that Ryan is still required. It would have to be a reasonable trade for us to let him go. Having said that, normally when a player comes out and says he wants out, they go.

WC are at the stage where we have only about 4 list spots open for draftees so we'd be hoping that we'd be looking in the 1st round. We have a F/S and 3 NGS's that we might have to find spots for as well.

JSOS most likely Dogs or Pies - have both given offers.
Morris says he’s not ruling out the saints. JSOS has a very good relationship with Ross apparently.

North Melbourne going after Windhager doesn’t make a lot of sense. Their midfield is ok and they’re pretty desperate for defenders of any size. I reckon he stays anyway. Wouldn’t mind McKenzie and/or Flanders but please just get Windhager done first.
