A lot of discussion being had in recent posts about our age profile....assuming a decent injury run, we will be fielding a much younger team in 2026, because Hotton, Lalor, Smillie, McCauliffe, Faull, Armstrong and at least one of our top picks from the 2025 draft should play basically every game. Then who knows on Alger, Sims etc... they may play also.

And they'll replace guys older than them.

Majority of our 'golden oldies' played most games in 2025....they'll place less in 2026, and Macca is gone.

Then the year after that we will be younger again as multiple oldies will retire (Presita, Broad, Lynch) and more kids will be drafted.

Then from 2028 onwards we will start increasing in average age until we hit a Premiership age and experience profile from 2028 to 2035

The rumoured new rules should lead to more athletic rucks.

But they'll still be monsters, just more mobile ones.
