If we did somehow get GC to trade Jed Walter to us one of the Williams boys most likely Jack would on the move. Forwards would be sorted (Waterman, Shanahan, Walter) plus Archer Reid would hoepfully be used as a KPD & as second ruck. No real place for him.

So having said what could we get from Jack Williams in a trade?

A big physical fefender with pace would help - Ginbey but 10cm taller. Perhaps Brock hits the gym

Brock has the most upside of all our key defenders .

Has genuine acceleration to keep up with forwards, he is already a great 1 on 1 defender despite needing to build his frame and his left foot kick is superb

He reminds me of Eric makenzie with a better kick

Walter would be a great get. I hope the club is in his ear.

Starcevich would certainly add a battle tested vet in the right age bracket too. Allows McCarthy to play full-time Mid, and more options for Baker/Duggan.

Just need that compo pick to not be diluted, or we trade a token pick for him.

I hope we are speaking to Jed's management every couple of months. If he hasnt signed a contract extension I would be going all in next year. GCS would not be able to carry all this talent and pay them well, someone will be made available over the next couple of years. Also, if it is Jed we find a way to make it work with Jake, Jobe and Jed. I've always like triple JJJ

Separately **** no to Logan Mcdonald, it seems like we really are in a position to negotiate from power, so ****ing make it work for us Clarkey.

Essendon / Sydney chasing targets may make this draft one that positions us incredibly well.

Corrrct same- same , and McDonald is purely an average player right now with a little bit of natural improvement still to come.
Warner has already peaked.

But its not crazy to think he could be top 10 Coleman over the next few seasons or at least put out what Brody Mihocek does.

I'd rather spend $$$ elsewhere ( in the draft) as we have plenty of options for KPF already.

Why would Brisbane be compensated when they receive Allen as a FA cancelling any compo from starcivich?

If it was a 3 way deal where Carlton locks in a top 2 or top 4 pick for pick 11+their tdk compo I think theyd go for it.
The Syd f1 helps prep them for next year to trade up the order for Cody Walker if they cant match a bid.

We finally have a situation where we have both multiple picks in round 1 prob the first two of draft.

We don’t need to do anything to take both quality and quantity. We already have that. Try and improve hawks pick and end 19 via Ryan etc and hit the draft hard.

I agree, love what he brings. He can replace Cole or Duggan and we still give our young guys a shot.

Richmond could probably keep Carlton happy, but if they are keen on Duursma or CDT theyll be wanting a top 2 pick for sure

Clubs wants to keep it's picks for some reason, maybe it is planning on using them to move up or they are expecting one NGA to get a look in at the second round.
