ben king 7 disposals for 6.1

wonder if its a coaching directive that has him basically never leave forward 50. i think hes wasting a bit of his talent despite kicking so many goals.

I wonder if the Bulldogs have wound up their watch party yet.

Actually 8 disposals for 7.1 by end of the game.

Maybe he kicked so many goals because he's stayed in the F50, and wasn't so knackered from running up and down the ground. I'd be happy to have a stay at home forward on our list if they could kick 69.19 for the season. Having said that he kicked 50.10 in 12 games against bottom 9 sides, and 19.9 in 11 games against top-9.
(cough... flat track bully... cough cough)

In comparison, our 2nd year boy Logan Morris kicked 19.10 in 10 games against bottom-9, and 29.8 in 12 games against top-9.

Absolutely is. There's no one within ten meters of how far up the ground King takes his marks.

Gold Coast move as quickly as possible to try and get it deep to him in a one on one.

I'm rapt for the SUNS, it's been a long time coming.

As much as I can't take to Dimma, he certainly has turned the club around.

It's good for Qld footy to have both teams in the finals, so I hope they can do well.

They might not but it's the start of being a serious club into the future hopefully.

Unless playing us, I will be cheering for them.

Of course they would have. Dew had them on a natural progression arc. IMO Dew would have had them around mid-table last year, pushing towards the bottom of the 8 and then in the eight this year. I don't think Dimma has achieved anything Dew wouldn't have.

While i rate Dew really highly, I think Brownie said it best. Dimma is a lot like Leigh mathews in the coaching sphere. He has accomplished so much, so the players listened to him right away. Likewise, Dimma has this hard edge like Leigh Mathews, and you sometimes need that to get over the hurdle. I feel like Gold Coast not making finals was also a mental thing given they have started well in so many seasons before this one, and they always fell away after the bye. You could even see the old gold coast in the past few weeks where they almost choked another finals appearance. Dimma basically forced this club to grow up and accept that "this isn't happening anymore".

You look at where GCS were as a club both in terms of on-field performances and hemorrhaging talent and where Dew had managed to get them to and the continued progression. Dimma's first two years have been entirely in-line with that progression. If anything he underachieved last year.

I genuinely think though, even without Hardwick and provided the players didn't leave, even if under Dew, natural progression of the plethora of young guns the Suns have, they make finals anyway.

I feel it is very rich the media and others banging on about Hardwick saving the Suns and that he alone is responsible for Suns making finals is utter BS - this not a go at you McMum 👊
100%
Everytime they got close to breaking finals an up and coming star would leave.
Imagine what a unsuspended Raiken would add to this team.
Stewy would of got them there as well ,maybe, but then again all the outside crap and presure might of swayed another key player and so the revolving door goes round and round.
So credit to Hardwick and the Suns, maybe a circuit breaker to keep the media happy and being a tripple premiership coach may have kept players there.

Elixuh LMAO:

Think we need to get Crazy Rossy going on the drafting and trading board. This is easily the most aggressive effort to acquire very very mid players since Crazy Vossy.
