“The Woodson” - Confidence Rating competition
Basic rules:

• Each week, tip the winner of each regular season game, with a confidence rating from 16 (most confident) to 1 (least confident).
• During bye weeks, the most confident will still be 16 points, down to 2-3 for the least confident.
• Total scores from the winning teams selected will determine your weekly total points, and we will have an overall standing.
• Lockout is Sunday 1pm ET (i.e. the start of the Sunday early slate of Games)

• Each week, you select ONE team who you expect to win.
• Tie means you are ELIMINATED! And you can only select each team ONCE, so choose wisely!

Welcome back to the re-incarnation of Bigfooty’s “Armchair Endzone” competition.

Clearly not as incredible as comps from the past, but we can hopefully emulate the spirit of years gone by!
2024 was a success, thanks to all of you who participated, and I hope this year is bigger and better!

Comp #3 - Drop Zone Elimination
A comp correlated with weekly CR selections/ total scores.
The culling of the lowest scorers of the week.
This comp start WEEK 2 this season. In this week, the person with the lowest score for the week will be eliminated.
From Week 3, the bottom TWO scorers will be eliminated each week.
(If we have a huge number of entrants, we will eliminate 3 at a time)

Tiebreakers:
-most winners picked
-MNF countback
-CR total score countback

No need to sign-up. All joining Comp #1 will be included!

Comp #3 - Drop Zone Elimination

• A comp correlated with weekly CR selections/ total scores.
• The culling of the lowest scorers of the week.
• Avoiding Week 18, we will start Week 4, and finish week 17 with a winner
• Comp to start WEEK 4 (Adjusted) with elimination of 1 team then 2 teams per week then 3 teams per week (see below), until we have a winner
  • Weeks 1-3 - no eliminations -> 34 active players
    Week 4 - 1 player eliminated -> 33 active players
    Weeks 5-11 - 2 players eliminated per week -> leaves us with 19 active players
    Weeks 12-17 - 3 eliminated per week -> leaves us with a winner
    Winner: TBA!
• Tiebreakers:
  • most winners picked
  • MNF countback
  • CR total score countback

Its a risky pick still imo . All div games, especially week 1 and 2 tend to be 50:50 or very close games the expected loser almost won if not for some last qtr mistake or wild big play

well week 1 is not going to be easy. only 2 games that look like easy wins. but then you waste a pick on one that might be needed later.

Thats fine. I prefer the difficulty level of this. Tho the comp can end inside the first month and then what? Wr should do two of them if the first one ends too soon
