I'd rather be like Geelong, seemingly always competing. We've lost a lot of key personnel - Benny, Penny, Balme, Hardwick etc.
Don't stress about our future. We've got an unbelievably talented core of young players, and almost all positions well catered for. Plus picks 2 and 3. Only bad luck with injuries could stop us from being a top-4 team and flag contender within 3-4 years.Well, time will tell if our dynasty was against the flow, so to say.
I'd take another 30 years in the wilderness for 3 flags around 2060, but tbh I don't want that.

If this rebuild doesn't return us to the top 8 or even top 4...then we're in for an ordinary decade or more.
I'm wondering why Sam Draper isn't being considered. Is there a reason why we haven’t been mentioned as interested in Windhager?
Surely exactly what we need . Two way runner , good pace and skill and great contested possession winner. Would be ideal with age profile as team transitions.
Coming of an Achilles and prior to that he has had , an ACL tear, groin issues , and soft tissue injuries.I'm wondering why Sam Draper isn't being considered.
26 y.o. 205cm. We're in desperate need of a reasonably immediate ruck succession plan.
We know he can play, and we think he wants out.
We would not be required to part with any draft capital.
We have plenty of cash to front load. Certainly more than Brisbane. And Essendon getting better compo means they'll be keen, and it has absolutely zero impact on our current draft positions (if North had beaten Adelaide last weekend it would've).
To me grabbing Draper is a no-brainer.
And I don't want to hear any of this "but he wants to get to the Lions" bollocks. We're a way bigger club than them, and he's no certainty in dislodging Big O and Fort from 1st ruck choice in a hurry.

Welcome Benny Hobbs!!!!

SpudWelcome Benny Hobbs!!!!

This. There is a reason Geelong are like that. Because they have mastered tilting everything in their favour outside of footballing merit. Rules, rulings, insider trading, salary cap cheating, soft cap cheating, cheat ground cheating, fixture cheating, the list goes on.
Off to the Dees apparentlyReckon Max Heath is worth a look, 22yo, 204cm, is a solid unit, can play forward. Probably 4th in line now for a gig behind TDK, Marshall and Dodson. Would come very cheap.
Racist2 dagos out another dago in
typical carltoon
Finally got our doozyIf we get Russell Hobbs that’s rebuild complete
He’s just been essendon’d, here he’d be learning from midfield masters the likes of Dow, Ross and Sonsie, the skies the limit. Finally got our doozy
