That is weird then. Especially as Geelong had no chance to play finals so it wasn’t as if they just spat it, sulked, we’re totally devestated..
Hope you have that 1 supporter a free can. Legend!
It's embarrassing and disrespectful. We're all amateur clubs and need to support each other. You get up after the game if you win or lose. If you have a function let the other side know but still come up and have one drink. Ive never seen anything like it.
You take Williamstown two weeks ago as polar opposites. They lost in a nailbiter and turned up in droves.

Willy were stiff. % of 120.
Lost to Trinity at Trinity by a point, with 4 more scoring shots. Give up a 3 goal lead late to Caulfield. Give up a 2 goal lead to Carey at the 31 minute mark of the last. Thrash Camberwell at Camberwell.

Old Ivanhoe just managed to get over the line against Hampton Rovers at Boss James Reserve today, winning by just 5 points. Despite them not winning a game all season in Premier B, the future looks bright for the Rovers, and don't be surprised if the Rovers go back up to Premier B in the next year or two.

I think Ivanhoe rested a bunch of guys like Alex Mirkov, Toby Mclean, William Murphy, Harrison Reid and others.
Noticed quite a few on the team list that were Ressies players, playing their first senior game of the year.
With a senior team that went 0-18, a ressies team that went 1-17 with a % of 34 and the Unders are in the 3rd tier and finished 8th…im not sure if I’d use ‘future looks bright’ in my wrap up of the club.

One of the most piss poor post match efforts I have ever seen from Old Geelong. One supporter turned up, no coaches, no committee, no players. All the umpires turned up and put them to shame .Disgraceful.
You beat me to it. Was going to write similar. Very poor performance by Old Geelong. No explanation, no nothing just all left the changerooms into their cars.
Nothing during the game would have caused that attitude.

They have form here.

When they were at Glen Huntly earlier this year, they had no one show. Not one.

No explanation or communication about why.

Well said oc…pretty piss poor, tbh very disappointing…all clubs need to support each other and throw $$ behind the bar!
It’s not that hard to give up 30-45 minutes for a couple of beers and a chat!

Thanks Canada…not really stiff, as you said gave up some leads and it hurt us at the back end.
BUT…a very positive season, a great coach, exciting young players, off field looking great too!
Loved the fact we were talking finals and not staving off relegation!
Bring on next year!!
Good luck to all in the finals…Ivanhoe my pic with Caulfield coming hard!

Odds:
Ivanhoe $2.05
Trinity $3.00
Caulfield $4.40
Carey $6.90
Ivanhoe now $1.90
Toby, Cunners, Big Mirk, Naish must all be fit and ready to play finals as this punter has just loaded up. And interestingly..the big bet came through this morning. So it was AM.

Well as we wait for the fixture, and despite dreaming that my boys can get there, the clear Top 2 sides who will likely face off in 2nd Semi & then GF are an interesting match up.

Old Trinity have won both contests this year with a 37 point win in Round 9 at Chelsworth Park and then a closer 12 point win in Round 17 at Daley Oval. The first contest was tight to half time and the latter till three quarter time. So Old Ivanhoe are getting closer. That last match is clearly the form line to follow and OI looked reasonably strong (well their stars were playing) and to be fair so did OT (however their skipper returned last week and will be better for the run I am sure).

Based on this, and that I think "the Donald" gives them a slight coaching advantage, it is hard to tip against OT. From what I saw against my lads, they are more physical at the contest and spread well with plenty of leg speed. OI have an elite midfield, that is plenty good enough for A Grade, and that makes this contest close. I also wonder how much OI have learned from these 2 losses and can they pivot their approach.

My tip is OT just and whoever wins the 2nd Semi will also win the GF.

Keano that is very generous. But let's be honest, any of the four can win and your boys are the ultimate party spoiler. Whilst you lose a couple you still have a couple of very good VFL ins. I agree and think OI and OT are the most PremA ready . OC are the least. But at senior level no club would surprise
