Interesting my brother inlaw went to a football function in hobart on the weekend and a certain ex Carlton coach was there and he asked him about the club and he said with saying to much
The club especially the board are evil and toxic and control everything at the club
Yes, the boards do control football clubs.

No one owes anyone anything that isnt where I am coming from at all.

I'm prepared to give Wright the opportunity to do his job - I kinda figure he knows something about football - or he has just been a very lucky operator - for decades in multiple Clubs.

Peopel are putting their freak on abotu Charlie Mr 9 businesses in my portfolio Curnow. Curnow is not the same player of 22/23 anymore he isnt even the same person. silvagni is being nepoed into 2X what he is worth by his dada and TDK only left because it actually took 2X what he is worth to anyone else for him to go to that stain of a place St kilda.

chill dude the sun will come up tomorrow - pretty sure. :thumbsu:
It defs will. I'm just over it. The bullshit media show Cripps and Weits did today. LOL. As for Carlie if he goes oh well. On song he's a reason to watch. Regardless of how Carlton are going. I'll be paying more attention to other codes for a bit hah. Bring on Argentina

SOS trying to inflate his Pies contract, or Dogs as a backup.
Not sure of your point here?
Are you suggesting that literally anyone who knows that SOS is list manager at St.Kilda (including other list managers) will somehow believe that Pies/Dogs have just randomly upped their offer and it's nothing to do with Jack's father's offer, and that somehow that's not a conflict of interest?

Well as a tight head front rower I was always very particular about who was packing in behind me - got to trust the bloke who gives you some help in holding the whole scrum together and actually cares about wether you get a broken neck or not if they get lazy or pull out because they arent 'in the mood' ...

you can do worse that watching the rugby - Ive started to again now that Aust isnt totlaluy shyte anymore.

These fairy footballers and the inbred Mexican love affair with a game that is run by umpire 'interpretation' is more about the larfs tbh that and the fact that I have (obviously) suffered Stockholm syndrome since making the mistake of supporting Carlton -...

I'm actually pretty optimistic looking forward - just want to see more clean out from the entitled losers.

So based on reports, Curnow wants to leave because of Voss. Who would have thought?
what did voss even do, voss the person or voss the coach, because thats two separate things. a lot of players don't get along with coaches or employees its life

Things are as we expected. Split playing group, some wanted Voss, some didn't.

If we are going to lose any players who showed poor application during the year, then get what you can.

If Voss was sacked, who would have left? Who knows?
thats easy Weitering cripps Walsh Harry

What connection does Wright have with Voss?
What connection does Wright have with the Port bloke ?
How much influence do you think Voss has over Wright ?

Just three obvious question that come to mind when I read your above.
Wright has zero connection with carlton period , he just wants to make it clear the club comes 1st

In what universe is Jack worth that much? Even a one eyed Blues supporter couldn't in their wildest dreams think he's worth that. You essentially at the saints now have 3 players taking close to 5 million of the cap (regardless that they banked a couple of years paying 95%) for the next couple of years.

Who is checking their books?
105% of the cap next year is $19.2m, $19.36 the year after. The deals could be somewhat front loaded in the first 3 years and the annual figure might be lower than reported overall.

Barring WC last year, when has he been on song for a whole game? You only get a bout 10-15 mins of effort.

Happy for Clarke to stay. I know he's maligned a bit but I put down our midfield's weaknesses down to players at the disposal more so than coaching.
Positioning and accountability is a huge problem, players continually sucked into contesting, leaving opponents outside to easily spread and move the ball to advantage…
Structures around stoppages which have clear positioning deficiencies, out numbered numerously on the defensive side by multiple players…

Leading to far too easy and efficient clearances that then sets up multiple channels of spread & rebound, which sets up opportunities to score far to easily against is…

For people who have been around a fair while, do you remember the, conflict of interest argument around SOS being in charge of possibly recruiting his three sons and being in charge of their pay and contract lengths?

The idea that SOS could have possibly been conflicted was shouted down by most, after hearing the rumours the past week, does anyone look back and think that the conflict of interest argument might have actually held some truth?

A father supposedly offering his son a massive contract, well above his perceived worth, good for us, good for Jack, but to me, it still smells.

Also, could just be to raise his value for other clubs, but time will tell.
Pretty sure Sos sat in the car whilst others negotiated Jack’s offer…….

One thing I find fascinating, did Charlie adamantly say he was staying in that post game interview because he thought for certain Voss wouldn't survive?

Would make a little bit more sense considering the info coming out regarding Vossy baking him.

I’ve been told the playing group has effectively split into two camps.

1. The Monogram / Voss Supporters
These are the players who back the club if not Michael Voss specifically and don’t want to go through yet another coaching merry-go-round. Based on the public comments we’ve heard this year, it’s not hard to work out which players are in this group, even if they’ve been linked to moves elsewhere.

2. The anti-Voss camp.
These are the players who wanted the blame for the club’s struggles placed squarely on Voss. They’ve shown a lack of professionalism and accountability, and just as we’ve identified members of the first group, it’s becoming clear who belongs here as well.

Of course, some players sit in the middle. Some are too young or inexperienced to have much influence, while others are at a stage of their careers where it simply doesn’t matter as much. For instance, it’s pretty clear where Weitering and Walsh stand right now—though with Walsh, you get the sense that if things don’t improve next year, he already has an exit strategy in mind. Cripps, meanwhile, may be thinking more about life after football. His legacy as one of Carlton’s greats is secure, premiership or not, and he knows better than anyone that success at that level is beyond his individual control now.

Just so I’m not getting confused, Cripps is still in the first group right?
