Take the injury out of the picture (I know you cant) but if you just look at the actions and the action alone, who's action was worse. Cumberland swinging arm to the back of a players head from behind, or, Wild swinging arm to spoil a ball that to be fair was close to the ball but collected the head on the way through.These incidents while “rare” still happen. Unfortunately when the NFNL has a chance to say we won’t tolerate it with incidents like Cumberland’s punch they continue to fail.
Wild has 9 weeks I’ve been told from a friend at Hurstbridge (is this true?) and just returned from a week off for rough conduct.
Clearly the message didn’t get through and could now very likely have his career over at 25 pending a future appeal.
In saying that I have very little sympathy as I’m now seeing many players retiring from repeat concussions and having their careers cut short due to moronic incidents like this which can easy be avoided.
