I think this is the first time in a long time I’ve heard as much negativity around a draft in a long time. Last year the depth was amazing. I personally had Shanahan and Armstrong similar and loved The year from Reid and in some way or form all fell in the draft.
Trainor as an absolute steal also shows that. A concern with concussion took him from top 5 to outside the top 20.

Correct, the revisionism was from those who thought that "if only" TT was playing for us we wouldn't be in the mess we're in like he was some Dangerfield or Dusty Martin ready to extract us from the faeces with his pure brilliance. Please. He was handy, nothing more.

Off the back of that entire scandal in 2023, with subpar fitness to boot, he (conservatively) had four great games, five good ones, and two shit ones.

In 2021, he was showing himself up as a bloke with 20 disposals and multiple scoring shots as his FLOOR. Three goalless games in fifteen to end the year, and he only had two properly underwhelming games from R8 onward.

These were his two cleanest shots at it as a mature body. And both times he ****ing blitzed his opposition

We throw the 'best of the lot' moniker around here a lot, but a normal TT who doesn't hate women blitzes all of them by the length of Parliament's escalators. LDU, Sheezel, Wardlaw, McKercher, FOS. Colby is our Merrett? Sorry, Not on the same planet as footballers. One has distinguished himself over 12 seasons as a champion midfielder who almost always makes the right decision in heavy traffic (a la Bont); the other is starting out and has a long way to go …
