Totally agree, was just listing all the Saints key backs I could think ofzero chance of getting him, will be a star for them

Yeah ok, we weren’t playing Cox because of a contract trigger and not because he was performing like garbage.Last week on Tradies, McClure teased that a contract trigger is behind a player in a finals team not having been selected to play to date but that said player would be in for the first week of finals. Today's episode he confirmed he was talking about Cox.
I don't think our midfield is the problem. We actually have the players to really freshen/speed it up but don't play them on the ball often enough. A midfield/wings rotation of Nick, DeGoey, Perryman, McCreery, Josh, Crisp, Long, Houston, Quaynor and Allan holds more than enough quality through the centre square and wings. We just need to commit to playing them there. But for that to happen, we need to phase out Mitchell (done), cease playing Pendles and Sidey in the middle and develop the likes of Parker, Harrison, Steele and TJ to backfill any positional gaps created by revamping our midfield.Interested to see what the club is brewing this off-season.
If we fail this year, can't see the club going around again with the same midfield setup and lack of support for Nick.
Makes be think one of Petracca or Merrett will be at the pies next year.
I suspect that tracks with the breakdown of his relationship and her move back to Perth. In better news he is at training which is the best outcome possible! The only possible substance that could be possibly taken from his "story" was that WC and Freo aren't interested in Bobby.

Such utter nonsense. If a club really was in a position where they were prepared not to pick a player because of a trigger, the rational thing to do is renegotiate the deal. Give a player a choice between playing sans trigger and not playing but retaining a(now useless) trigger and there isn't a choice.Yeah ok, we weren’t playing Cox because of a contract trigger and not because he was performing like garbage.
$1.5m over the life of the deal is $350k per year. Assuming your post was referring to how much less we’re offering than the saints rather than the total of what we’re offering, that would mean we’re only offering $450k per year, which is absolute nonsense.Cal and Riley on Gettable reporting that JSOS has been offered a 5 year deal at 800k a year ($4m) from the Saints, we've offered significantly less, 1.5m over the life of the deal, 4m is a massive overpay so the Saints can go for it AFAIC
Imagine if we were able to nab him for $450k a year! The woeful compo heading to Carlton would be a great laugh$1.5m over the life of the deal is $350k per year. This is click bait at its worst.
Clearly there was a reason that he couldn’t make that work, so stop bitching and be happy that he’s there as fly said he would be.Would have been nice for him to train with the team yesterday and have his day off today.
The compo would be a grand total of 0!Imagine if we were able to nab him for $450k a year! The woeful compo heading to Carlton would be a great laugh
The difference is closer to $1m if the numbers look like 5x800 versus 4x750Imagine if we were able to nab him for $450k a year! The woeful compo heading to Carlton would be a great laugh
we are offering 4 x 600k (2.4mill)$1.5m over the life of the deal is $350k per year. Assuming your post was referring to how much less we’re offering than the saints rather than the total of what we’re offering, that would mean we’re only offering $450k per year, which is absolute nonsense.

Either way, $1.6m is not $2mwe are offering 4 x 600k (2.4mill)
saints offer 5 x 800k (4.0 mill)
I am clearly not bitching you brainless dumbass, have always been supportive of bobby.Clearly there was a reason that he couldn’t make that work, so stop bitching and be happy that he’s there as fly said he would be.
I think it lends support to why none of the journos can be trusted as capologists. The best I could get to was $1.2m because I’ve only seen 4x$700k.$1.5m over the life of the deal is $350k per year. Even 4x700 is still closer to $1m than $1.5m (2.8 vs 4). We’d have to be around 4x650 for that kind of reporting to be closeThe difference is closer to $1m if the numbers look like 5x800 versus 4x750
You’re so gullible if you think that the saints offer is anything but a ploy from SOS to get Jack the biggest paycheck he can from the pies.
Capology is uncertainty but every club is tight on salary caps. They have to be.Accoridng to Cal, we are "obviously tight salary cap wise".
I dont buy it, only players with long-term contracts past 2027 are N.Diacos, J.Daicos, Cameron, Hill, Perryman, Houston and Maynard. Also, our large cohort of older players are all pretty-much on rolling 1 and 2 years deals on reduced coin.
Don’t buy it either tbh - at least, not to any worthwhile extent. Our cap would be similar to most other teamsAccoridng to Cal, we are "obviously tight salary cap wise".

It’s clever wording because we’d absolutely be tight for 2026. Beyond that though I can’t name many signed up to 2027. There’s Moore, JDG, Shoota, IQ and McStay anyone else? There’d be room to move by then and significant room by 2028 so salary cap isn’t the issue.Accoridng to Cal, we are "obviously tight salary cap wise".

You aren't considering the apparent extra year at the Saints.Even 4x700 is still closer to $1m than $1.5m (2.8 vs 4). We’d have to be around 4x650 for that kind of reporting to be close
Water is wet and fire is ouchywhy are we giving attention to another nothing article about hill? I’ve just read it..
And I quote ““I think these conversations will ramp up towards the end of the year. I believe Bobby wants to stay himself, but that won’t stop clubs having a go”
So clubs are interested in Bobby but he wants to stay. What an amazing piece of journalism
