I dont know, I watch Motlop and I feel like regardless of the goals kicked, 3 out of the 4 times he touches it, he ****s up anyway.

The problem with Jesse is he does have the tools to be something in the league but he hasn't quite been able to get to the point where he can slow the game down in his mind and execute better.
Always does things like he's rushed and not thinking through each contest.
Plus he's a great kid. So be nice if it would click for him.

Does he though? He's too small to be anything but a small defender or forward and too slow to play the role...
I think he does.
He's just an incredibly frustrating player.
He can actually do a bit of centre clearance work as we saw this season.

Fast once he winds up but his acceleration is terrible, gets caught with the ball over and over.
Can kick a goal and looks flashy moving through a clearance.
Can't run defensively in the midfield but love a tackle when he is in reach.
Carlton play a system where all small forwards flood back to the D50 so they're all cooked when we do win the ball back. Might look better if he didn't have to be an endurance HFF and could play more of a FP.
Needs to slim down and see if he can improve his acceleration.
I'd be underwhelmed if we were linked to him too, there is a path forward for him but I'm not convinced he will take it/get better.

Yes top speed is a useless stat when talking about if a player is slow... right.

Possibly, I can be overly harsh on fringe players. Ill get behind him if he comes home but while he plays for Blues, he's the worst player in the AFL

Jesse can play and I hope he stays.
My issue with him is he’s just not clean. He never does anything one-touch. It’s a real problem for him, particularly when he moves up into the midfield.
I also think he’s too heavy. Doesn’t have the agility to move as he’d like.
