I am expecting a usual $hit the bed performance. I would be shocked if we pull it off tomorrow night. Collingwood are the masters of games/situations like this. all above the shoulders tomorrow night. We got out of jail 2 weeks weeks ago. since the showdown we have been poor in key areas. couldn't handle West Coast or North Melb. a dry night two weeks ago against the pies and i think we lose that. I am actually not looking forward to it. would have been great to have been playing the Suns....

Weak.

Looks like the Pies won't be changed much from the previous encounter. (Howe was back last week, but didn't play against us the week prior, so will be listed as an 'out')

McStay the only confirmed out, looks like being replaced by Cox if we dare trust Eddie McGuire's statements.

DeGoey would be a certain inclusion. Looks like Wil Parker will replace Howe.

So net change from last game would be Cox replacing McStay and DeGoey replacing Ed Allen.

Can't say I'm liking the thought of DeGoey in and Rankine out as the significant changes...

(DeGoey has 1.33 Brownlow votes per game in his last 3 matches against us)

Edit. DeGoey did play against us last time, and only got 11 disposals. Oops. So their changes from us to their Melb. matchup were Howe and Roan Steele in for Ed Allen and Wil Parker.

If their changes from last week are simply Cox in for McStay and Parker in for Howe, and Steele holds his spot then the net changes from our previous matchup will be something like

Cox in for McStay
Steele in for Allen.

Both pretty 'Meh'.

IMO we will be stronger, even without Rankine, because we won't have Murphy.
The Max and Laird inclusions will definitely go a long way to reducing their I50 count from last time.
Didn’t notice De Goey a couple of weeks ago?

He was very quiet but he did play well against Melbourne.

He has been an injury waiting to happen in the last couple of years.

De Goey is a shadow of the player he once was

Ok the stats -

We have had 21 players play 200 games - W 8 L 13

Now 12 of those 21 played 250 games - W 9 L 3

And now 4 of those played 300+ games - W 3 L 1

The loss for 300+ was the first player to reach 300 games - Ben Hart in R2 2006. The other being Riccuito in R16, 2006, McLeod in R 19, 2008 and Edwards in R11, 2009.
And now 4 of those played 300+ games - W 3 L 1
This is a good stat.. so we are 75% chance to win this game

Adding in Risk beta for Rankine + provision for Victorian Umpire Bias = 7%

Add in favourable beta for no Jeremy Howe and banged up De Goey and Daicos = 2%

We are a 70% chance to win...

Whateley says, 'How can Collingwood turn 71 inside 50s into something?'.

There's just this assumption they get 71 inside 50s again. Bloody hope not.
Well for starters, if training is to be believed, max will be locking down on Daicos at half back and WILL be a threat going forward they are going to have to stop. Last time murphy had that role so a massive upgrade incoming for us. I'd also put a hard tag on sidebottom to shut him right down. Never seems to play a bad game against us

Nicks reaction after reading this forum wouldn't be hard to imagine.

No, Just used to what our club has dished up since those 2005/06 season's
Up until the Bye this year, I'd have said the same kinda things and expected a loss as well. I know how you feel
BUT
what the Club "has dished up" since then is actually 9 WINS on the trot. We're Minor Premiers as well.

I have seen the light!
Believe, brother :sneaky: .

...are we there yet?

I can't stand this waiting!
Just imagine if we win, another 2 weeks without footy, I can handle that reason though.
