FWIW one of his strengths whilst playing in the SANFL was supposedly his contested marking.

I imagine if he was clunking them for fun he wouldn't have got to the MSD. He gets his hands to contested marking situations. Plenty to work with

King becomes an unrestricted free agent after the 2026 season, so he is free to move to the club of his choice. After his current contract he would have had 8+ years at the Suns.
The Suns would just get draft pick compensation for him leaving....

My concern with Howes is his aerial marking. He’s got leaps but lacking the sticky mitts to me so far.

Def has some decent traits though. Seems quick and agile for a tall. Worst case chuck him down back

When I watched his draft highlights around MSD, his mitts were very good - one grab. Of course it’s highlights.
As his confidence grows I doubt it will be an issue.

Walter is in his first season, that’s just ridiculous to suggest he’s on the outer at the Suns and they don’t want him. If I’m Carlton I’d be happy to do Curnow for Walter, they need to start a rebuild.

I remember reading that was his strength but he’s just lacked a bit aerially to me. Def deserves an extension as there’s lots to work with and only 19. If I was to guess I’d say he’s got more a future as a defender.
