yep, same thing happened in the Port GC match. Late in the game a Port player tackled a GC player in the GC forward 50. Ball came out in the tackle, and the tackle lingered. Play on. Razor Ray on AFL 360 said it was the right decision.

This year was the evolution of 2023, we're closing out games consistently strong. Feels like 2012-15 since I've felt this confident in Freo with close games.

He should be investigated. When Reid was smashed in that marking contest, Stevic was standing 10m away with a perfect view and was furiously waving play on. Needed the umpire down the field to overrule him. Absolutely corrupt.

That last passage of play that lead to the GC goal was pissweak. Easy mark for noble on the wing, then the Andrew mark was just as easy, not good enough at the end of a tight game.

Hoping Simpson > Banfield out back; another good ball user would be really handy in the defence and that’s one potential way to improve the bottom 6.

Still think NOD has potential to be a player if he can get just one good uninjured run at it; definitely had times where he was putting his body on the line that game (the bits I watched after waking up… working nights!). Reckon the injuries and interruptions have robbed him of the ability to burst through a pack with pace that he’s shown in healthy seasons (a while ago tho)
