It's a massive missed opportunity. The expectation is that we'll be back bigger and better next year but that's not always the case. We had a great chance to make a prelim at least.

So many just small moments that last 3 minutes. Treacy back was correct, hes won us a couple games thisnyear with saving marks. He slept for 1 second not reading the ball had been kicked and he was done.

Cox is nothing but unlucky, impossible to know Swallow had dropped it. Gets called 50/50.

Bolton tackled gets called 25% of the time, its closer to a free kick than that horseshit Voss got called.

Playing the clock was what every single team in the AFL does. Inexcusable for Uwland of all players to mark it.

The bottom 6 just ****ing murdered us. At least that can be an easier fix than your top few. Some Suns also had the game of their lives in Davies and Humphrey's. Rowell was incredible.

I want to be angry but just numb. Gold Coast where fantastic, the boys showed amazing grit just a couple of 50/50 moments down the stretch. I dont have anything to be mad about except supporting Freo.

But we do not have a premiership list & there are upgrades needed to a few others who aren’t in that bottom 6 if we’re really serious about taking the next step. We need a completely healthy list to compete in finals which is not ideal & even then we’re not quite there at the moment.

It's funny when they were reviewing that ball earlier in the game as to whether it hit the inside of the point post (throw-in) or not (behind) I thought what if that's the margin difference at the end of the game.

Does Treacy go back in defence because that's what he does when the game is on the line, or did Hardwick send Andrew forward?

Kind of felt like scoring again when we were a goal ahead with just under 3 minutes to play might have iced the game, but we played for possession defensively when maybe we could have taken more ground, and then eventually when we released the ball Uwland took a fantastic pack mark on the wing coming in from the side. Uwland and Powell were the 2 players who really stood up for them in their D50 in the final quarter..

The other thing through the whole game I thought is that GC were cleaner with handballing under pressure - getting it out of a contest situation, where we put out some loose handballs that stifled breaks.

Freddy's had some great games, but that missed goal from 10m in front ended up being the difference and the ****ing stings.

There’s a few restructures to be had

Don’t think Chapman’s best football is defence. He’s a great decision maker and should perhaps get a chance on the wing.

Sharp really need a big pre season because the wing is his but he’s soft.

NOD’s best football is inside. He can have a chop out with Young. He’s not a winger.

Walker MUST come back in. He’s fast, he’s defensive and takes the small forward out. Banfield gone.

Simpson deserves a full season off half back. Wagner goes around the wing/midfield.

Switkowski is 29 next season. We need a back up or someone on the cheap from state league

Well I am remarkably calm and chilled tonight despite the close 1 pont loss.

Had the dockers won, it would of been similar to how we won that 2022 Elim final when we were down by 40 points to the dogs.
