The benefits are made available prior to purchasing the product. I agree it makes sense to have a hierarchy that you can buy into. But others will argue it’s unfair on those that can’t afford it.
There used to be a tiered system, where gold had access for the first hour or 2, then silver etc

Saw a few comments on Facebook (says it all really) say they weren’t going due to being embarrassed by the booing - looks like other people took their spots very quickly
I cant deal with the whole anti booing thing, does my head in.

It was a bit of theatre, it wasn't that deep.

The club has been receiving a lot of heat over the fact "Finals access" and 3 game memberships can buy at the same time as Gold and also Silver. It's reward for those memberships but also would help reduce the servers imploding if it's spaced out a bit more.

Fiveaa the other night said they looked into it and it's up to the clubs how they run it.

News story the other night said the club is looking into a tier system going forward. Some clubs have it, 1st hour is that Category 1 type membership and so on after that. I've heard conflicting things with Port, some say they get tiered access, some say they don't. I thought they did.

What if you could pay extra at the beginning of the year (optional and at own risk) for a membership that included finals matches?
Don't give them that opportunity haha. They already make a heap from Gold while rarely making Grand Finals.

They've already cashed in on these Finals Access memberships which has just helped screw dedicated members over.
I think it should just be part of what membership you have in order.

I actually received a call from member services about my mid-season survey last week and took the time to ask why we didn’t do tiered access. Their response was that the AFL gives clubs the choice as to how they want to allocate priority but the AFC chose to keep all members as even priority as Collingwood have more “top tier” members than we do (I believe their Gold equivalent is Legends?). Because of this, the Pies Gold members would have to have that equal priority access which would mean less tickets available for our silver/3/5 game members ie. Overall less Crows fans in the stadium if that makes sense because Pies priority access would’ve snapped them up.

I’m not sure if that’s just the PR line they’re going with as Collingwood have more members than us anyways but we were allocated more tickets. They did say they’re going to look into it going forward though.

I'm not rich, but I could afford to do that. I know tons of friends who wouldn't be able to though.

I'm just sick of rich people winning for the sole reason they have money, so that'd be a no from me even though it would be no different for just about every situation these days.

That actually makes a lot of sense!

It just seems insane to me that you can support the club all year then have to go through such an ordeal to get tickets to the matches that actually matter.

Also Collingwood had WAY too many fans there on Friday night. WTF is that.

Yeah I understand but that should mean they could have gone to a tier system this week as it's not Collingwood now.

The story the other night said it's too late to do it for the remainder of this finals series as the set up is already in place but they're now investigating it for the future.

They also probably would not be able to change it on those Finals Access members as they bought the membership with the knowledge they could buy tickets at the same time as Gold etc.

They'll be sad if they can't sell those Finals Access memberships next year and cash in, as not as many would buy them if they're last in line and will probably not get a ticket in finals.

If we made it through to the PF and had to play Cats at Geelong, for instance, what are the chances Crows supporters would get open slather on tickets to Shithole Stadium like Collingwood members had for our 'home' final? Buckley's I'd say.

It's such a very Adelaide (the city) thing to feel like you have a right to a finals ticket because you're a season ticket holder. Many take it to another level and think It's terribly unfair they don't get to sit in 'their seat'.

I think It's great 3 gamers have the same access as season ticket holders. I wouldn’t be surprised if the club have gone this way to try and bring some fresh blood into the ground. Plenty of stale season ticket holders.

You have to think there are more changes.

9 Defenders - 1 playing up forward, 1 playing mid and 1 as the sub.
So i imagine that 2 of these are out, possibly Smith and Bond and then Max moves back to defence.
If not Bond then possibly Hinge, purely for match ups.

Unfortunately Billy & Sid did nothing to scream 'Pick Me' yesterday in the SANFL, however given Hawthorns speed, I would look to bring them both in and go all out attack in an attempt to beat Hawthorn at their own game.

So for me, I am doing:

Worrell | Keane | Laird
Milera | Murray | Michallaney
Cumming | Dawson | Curtin
Keays | Thilthorpe | ANB
Pedlar | Walker | Fogarty
ROB | Soligo | Peatling
Rachele, Dowling, Draper, Berry
Sub: Hinge

In: Rachele, Draper, Dowling
Out: Smith, Bond, Taylor

Midfield Rotation 1 - Dawson, Soligo, Peatling
Midfield Rotation 2 - Berry, Dowling, Draper
Midfield Rotation 3 - Dawson, Curtin, Draper

I would also consider Draper or Berry as the starting sub and have Hinge on the pine.
Draper is no good at SANFL level at the moment, No way he's playing.

I'm a gold member but I don't care about better access to Week 1-3 finals tickets. I'm spending the money to get guaranteed access to purchase grand final tickets because that guarantee is personally important to me.
That's essentially all the gold membership gives you.

I know it's all the AFL but 'open slather for finals' is straight dumb. You want your fans there, get a home final.

Crows members should've got 24 hours access first, with some pissy allocation for Pies cheer squad. Like actual home games.

Imagine being Bombers vs Pies home final and it's at the Pies home ground and 70,000 Pies fans. Just a stupid system.
