Sorry for the delay!

With the emergence of Riddell as a captain option, at least whilst Garner is out (or permanently?), we have a genuine decision on the Captaincy, which is a great thing for the game!

We have a GF rematch, a possible first win for the Giants, a Crows team shellshocked for the first time in a long time, a potential first Derby win for West Coast, etc!

Pretty happy with my trades this week. Same scoring from Grieves as Painter for $250k less, slightly better scoring from Verbrugge to Poppy Scholz for $170k less, and a 60-point upgrade from Rentsch to Kearney. I got lucky with Bacon on my bench for Boyd as well. Bench cash is a concern as Centra, Kos and Dunlop are all done.

Kissed. Well done. Kos and Dunlop gotta go first, but they barely have any cash on them.

Thankfully I'm sitting on $400k so I should be able to pop $200k on each of their heads and ride someone's wave. Kos > Toogood is pretty much my first trade.

1509. Trades went well. Keeping Ebert over Forbes and Rentsch went well. Boyd out probably helped me as I got Bacon's 64, where most would have got a lower in than that, I'd guess.

Clarke has to go, probably Hampson and Fish the other two outs. Means I have to hold Ott and Stone. If Boyd misses again, I'll just use her as a loop, since North don't play until Sunday and I've got 7 defenders. I'll need to figure out whether Gardiner or Noffy is a better VC loop option if Boyd misses.

EDIT: I've just seen that Noffy plays at the same time as Riddell, so Gardiner into Riddell it is! Ebert into Bacon as well, which is the way I'd prefer things (if Boyd doesn't play).

Rentsch -> Rigoni ~50:50, didn't lose cash, but her being bought on field wasn't ideal. First non-positive trade of the season, so I can't complain. Rigoni actually looked way better than her score suggests.

Bowers and GPres respond, Riddell is just in a league of her own, a great week for the Mim faithful, sold Fish at the exact right point which is pure luck, and can make moves.

I want Gardiner, bad. I want her this week for the Pies matchup. Don't know if I can or should get there. But I want her.

Stone -> Toogood seems obvious, but I'm gunna research it more. Would like Ott -> Kearney. But damn do I want Gardiner.

Out: Harris, Stone, O'Shea.
In: Strom, Toogood, Watson.

Yeah 55% time for Stone is a worry. Her to Toogood is my go.

Looking at things, far too much is going to depend on if Boyd is named, so I'm chilling for a week.

Stone -> Toogood very likely
Ott -> Kearney very likely

Kos can rot until Young gets named, not even going to look at her. If that's this week then so be it.
A Howley/Centra to lowest BE utility is likely if Boyd gets up. Some weirder matchups this coming round though. I'd like to hold Howley for one more, she was genuinely stiff to miss an extra 15-20 points, and the Dogs matchup is nice.

So no doubt watch that Dunlop $ erode.

Rowley? She just had a role change from defender to 90% CBAs and smashed out a 112. Going from Hill to Rowley nets you cash, so you can do better trades elsewhere. If you're doing Butler to Riggs, which I assume is the U spot, you might be able to go Grieves instead.

I couldn't bring myself to trust a rookie in the mids, especially one that wasn't playing midfield, so I got exactly zero points out of Zippy. I'll happily take the $500K, though. After seriously considering Grieves (and Rowley), I'm going to take her down to Salisbury (or similar) to fund big moves in the forward line. The trades I've got right now:



Unfortunately, this leaves me stuck with Clarke at F6. She just lost too much cash to get up to a player I actually want. She'll probably leak more cash this week. I'm prioritising on-field, especially after getting unexpected cash gen from my D rooks.

I also don't have much cash left for if Garner comes back next week. I still think I'll be able to do it, but I may have to get creative. Sheerin putting up a good score would help.

For captain this week, I'm looking at looping Gardiner into Riddell if Boyd misses. If I have 21 green dots again, I'll consider Gardiner against Collingwood over Riddell against Brisbane, but I'll probably chicken out and captain Riddell. Less consistency in the Sydney midfield scares me.

I'm thinking about going Fish to Bonnici next week, but I wish I had traded in Finn last week. Up against Gold Coast, so no real reason she can't do well again.

Definitely, but the fact Rowley had 5 centre clearances makes it likely she at least gets first crack. I'm thinking about it as more of a two-week cash play where you get out before that 112 rotates unless she backs it up or Daisy changes things up.

Yeh, she was unbelievable against Port. Had so many clearances, but looking at West Coast, Daisy has changed the mid rotations every week. Bushby, Rentsch, Painter, Rowley and Lewis have all rotated through along with the main mids (Roberts and Drennan). After a dominant game, she should be getting CBAs next week, but if things don't go to plan during the day, she could easily be pushed out for someone else.

I think Young is the last of the really highly touted kids to debut. We're definitely getting to the point where we're going to have to be a bit more creative with who we downgrade to. I'm looking at downgrading to Mia Salisbury whose BE is really low because she loses a 4 this week. On the downside, she loses a 4 because she scored a 4. Wish me luck.

How do we feel about O'Dowd as a ruck pick? Good run upcoming and only 784k, and I could see her spending a bit more time as the primary ruck. Must admit I didn't catch much of her game last week, so unsure how her and Kos split the ruck exactly.

Thinking of moving up from H.Harris, and don't have the funds to make it up to one of the 1mil+ rucks, so am looking for a deal. Could sneak up to Edmonds if I opt to hold Rentsch instead of Ott this week. Or go Harrington instead of O'Dowd.
