Going by AFLW precedent set in 2023, if Collingwood plays Adelaide in the GF this year, Collingwood would be the "home team" because they won the QF.

Given how late the pink strip came in, you'd have to think Gold Coast's intention when they released the new strips was for the gold and blue jumper to be what they used in away derbies.

Can't help but feel the pink will be at least the clash guernsey next year. Although I personally feel it as the home has such a strong unique distinct identity - they've tripped over and found a golden ticket with the pink.

They wore it in one game vs GWS, copped a lot of criticism for looking the same as West Coast so have now dropped it forever lol. Reckon pink or something else will
be full time clash next season.

Happy to eat my words, Suns rebrand is far from perfect but has grown on me a lot, red home and pink clash is a good combo, probably worth having a third kit too cos doesn’t solve all clashes

Having seen some pink guernseys at the game on the weekend, they’re ugly when you see it in person.

Don’t think it’ll be a particularly pretty matchup unless they wear white shorts with it but ugly guernsey matchups seems to be the theme of this finals series.

Penrith in the NRL have a pink alternate strip, and it actually worked okay against the Brisbane Broncos last year, who like the Lions and Fitzroy before them, wear majority Maroon jerseys

All comms from Hawthorn FC to it's members relating to ticket sale times/match information and the announcement of "Semi Final Bound" has shown photos of the players in the HFC "Heritage Guernsey" which is the Gold jumper with Brown monogram on the front.

Can anyone confirm if they've seen or heard this is the case?
Can't understand why the Hawks wouldn't wear their traditional jumper.

We wear royal against Adelaide because our gold wings are a clash guernsey, and there's no need for it against Adelaide.

The only teams we really need a clash guernsey against are the other teams with royal blue: Dogs and North. We wear it against Fremantle but I really don't think we need to, there's far more egregious clashes in the comp than Purple v Royal Blue

No, but gold and brown clashes with Crows.

A dark colour and yellow vs a dark colour and yellow (with some red).

Hawks have rarely played against Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval in the last 10 years, and they've never worn the Home/white shorts at all, always a white, or gold clash jumper.

2012 prelim immediately comes to mind, as well as the cartoon swooping hawk jumper

Guess it’s different in 2025 cos Hawks ‘heritage’ jumper if anything makes the supposed clash worse imo
