How much salary cap has silvagni and TDK released?
Docherty as well would release some salary plus potentially a couple others like McGovern not hitting his contract trigger and Elijah being moved on.How much salary cap has silvagni and TDK released?
EDIT
now add curnow of he goes...
= $> 2m in salary ap released
no add picks ( worst case 9 +19 for the fiorst two) + who knwo what for curnow.
= 2- 4 first rounders you'd think...

The annoying thing however with the Curnow point is if a trade was to happen it's probably going to drag out through the entire trade period. And so if a deal gets done real late it doesn't give us a heap of time to do much with the picks we get for him.
If they want Charlie badly enough, they willWell it will be nothing as the Swans won't deal Gulden under any circumstances as his nearly their best player.
Lets say $1.5m for those two and another ~ $1m for Charlie = $2.5m - now add the total picks possible....Somewhere between $1.65 - 1.85 M
So I was way way way under. That’s good to know.
If u really want it.If they want Charlie badly enough, they will
Youve just increased the available salary cap spend bank to over $4m.Docherty as well would release some salary plus potentially a couple others like McGovern not hitting his contract trigger and Elijah being moved on.

That's why they never bottom out. Everyone wants to go there. Free agency mainly hurts sides like us. Even though Charlie isn't a free agent.
How the hell could geelong get Charlie?
Free agency is the one thing the AFL needs to look at.
Not father sons.
Top sides are always getting free agents for nothing. No draught picks just a list space needed. It's infuriating.![]()
I think you and Stamos were both correct, just approaching it differently.
You were looking at it that TDK was probably on $650K and JSOS $450-500K
Stamos was looking at it that we had probably allocated $1-1.1M for TDK and JSOS $600-700K from next year.
I lean more Stamos' thinking; we now have maybe $1.7M more to spend than we would have if both had stayed.

That’s in 2025 dollars RPCB.Maybe $650k for TDK and $400-500k for Silvagni? Over $1 million for sure.
Correct weight.Somewhere between $1.65 - 1.85 M
And yet they paid handsomely for J. Cameron....

It's not last touch out of bounds, that's a misnomer. Will we even need a ruckman if it’s last touch out of bounds.
I dont think most people on here have realised what teh club is amassing in terms of negotiating and buying power in quick time - whilst at eh same time cleaning out the place of the entitled underperformers. As has been said I forgot to add Williams next year and McGovern ( possibly ) thsi year to the total.JustaBattler's eyes are making cash register images and noises every time another (unmongrel-y) Carlton player is added to the list of outs....
You can add Newman to that list.We need to be honest here...
A significant part of our horrendous season can be laid at the feet of TDK imo (not helped by significant fall offs from every one of our other best players - Harry, Charlie, Crippa, Walshy and even Weiters....).
Of course, the Club picked Tom ahead of Pitto because he is a much better all round ruckman, BUT he put in at about 20% -50% most of the season, especially after the first few games (either because he knew he was going or he was thinking about going - doesn't matter which).
A firing TDK is one of the league's best....and has a significant impact on the outcome of a game... he was pretty much one of the worst all year.
Throw in the disaster that was Elijah Hollands... and the internal turmoil at the Club (was Jordan Russell involved in some capacity?)
That all cost us dearly.
Carlton controls the timing of any curnow deal - totally.Docherty as well would release some salary plus potentially a couple others like McGovern not hitting his contract trigger and Elijah being moved on.

From memory he tends to lead the league in turnovers quite often.Definitely not a shocking kick. I personally hope we go after him but he just won't be a major part of any Curnow trade if it was to happen
I'd love Gulden for Charlie, but Sydney look WAY better with Gulden than they do without - and they would have to be cognisant that Warner is a flight risk in a couple of years. If they want Charlie badly enough, they will
Absolutely. Same way Sam Mitchell was Simon Black was... These guys are freaks and go under appreciated in media awards etc. But theyre slower buggers who made their team overall way faster. I was hoping Walsh might've been that but he's a doer and not so much a thinker/reader. So are Cripps and George. They're doers not thinkers. Thought Cerra had that to him but maybe not.Pendlebury and Sidebottom have elite levels of footy IQ - there is no substitute and it cant be coached, taught or cajolled. 15 years Collingwood have been feeding off these two - 15 years. They are teh plan ABC &D on field coaches for the filth.
