Surprised nick’s didn’t say if Rachele is in, he often gives some crumbs early in the week. We need that lifter Rachele goal early to get us going.

OMG, Cook has done absolutely nothing at AFL level! Yes he had one great SANFL game last week. So what?

You don't gamble on a player who had 2 disposals in his last AFL game, in a freaking Semi-Final.
If we do we go in 1 player short. Hawthorn's pressure will rip him apart.

Some insane posting here.

If only there was a way to have gotten more games into Dowling and Cook during the season.🤔

This is EXACTLY what we need to do. Can't believe Nicks didn't have this hammered into the boys last game.

Nicks is a moron, fancy bringing back the 2024 Rogue Bonkers gameplan for a final - with the bonus of Laird in the midfield!!

"Game plan to stand up in finals". Not a great start.

That stats guy on SEN said when opposition don’t run direct at our defence we’re 13-0 this year. 5-6 when they do, which includes the earlier Port and Lions close wins and the recent pies win. So if oppo don’t dilly dally going forward, we’re worse than 50/50.

How they record those stats, don’t ask me, but there’s no doubt that come finals, every opposing coaching group will be aware of it.

Possible changes since last time we played...

Michaelanny for Smith
Laird for Bond (or Hinge)
Rachele for Rankine
Pedlar for Cook

Smith? (would prefer Dowling) for Jones (sub)

We should have a stronger side even with the loss of Rankine

A little surprised we haven’t got a Smith retirement announcement.

We can’t give him another contract for next year. If he players, it would be his last game at Adelaide oval

I would have thought if Tex didn’t announce his retirement pre this game then he’s going around again. Not sure with Smith, he could retire in a post match interview.

Tex won't retire this year. He may have had we won last week. But we're no chance for the flag now. He'll play next year in the hope Nicks doesn't stuff up our season again.

Yeah but look at the losses, all close apart from the freo game so its not like we are abject when they do, but we are more gettable so to speak

Last time Newcombe wasn’t in great form and they experimented with 4 tall forwards
& Day was their best player... so Newcombe will need to in better form.

Also, Lewis appears underdone, assuming he replaced Dear.

Do you mean like last year?

He was given 15 games and averaged 9 disposals, 1.5 tackles and less than a goal a game. He was rated below average in every category.

This year he was only given 3 games and averaged a whopping 6 disposals a game but at least he was consistent, rating below average in all categories again.

But, but, but he played a blinder against Glenelg.
