Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.

2025 KEY DATES
Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

I'm shocked Billings played 170 games....I wish him the best, but geez - he was the poster child for that whole era where the club turned beige. We're only just digging out of that now.

I know he has a lot of fans on here and people making excuses for his lack of progression as a player.

But for me he was always an incredibly mentally weak player who too many thought was a future star. He was never going to develop into the star the club wanted because he didn't have the personal belief and drive that the better players possess. I used to call him 'casper' as he would always be now where to be seen when the heat was on.

170 games at the Saints was way too many for me & I apologise in advance if that upsets you.

Always had a soft spot for Billings. I posted this back in November 2019 during the off season where we were at the same hotel in Broome WA.

We had met earlier in the trip and knew I was a Saints fans, on his last day he gave over his training bag with all his kit.

Shame it didn’t work out but he was a bloody good person and represented the club really well off the field.
