Voss said straight up in his interview that Charlie raised the prospect of a trade. Not his manager, the coach said Charlie asked the question.
You're a Silvagni family plant and I'm convinced of it. You only ever comment when something is said about them.
But to answer your question on face value... For starters, neither Davies nor Hinkley will come over on contracts worth 40-150% more than what they're offered elsewhere.
I completely agree with all the above, and I think it would make sense for both clubs. That said, given where he is at right now, I’d be surprised if he moved to Perth. Thanks for the perspective. FWIW Acres was mentioned in multiple “dispatches” weeks ago as being on West Coast’s radar. Has accordingly been seen as on the table since that time.
We are in a bit of a reset removing “conditional” players. Acres has been a hard read this year. Impacted by injury, but has seemed very blasé in his commitment and endured some time in the twos late in the year. Despite his untidy disposal, has been a great get with his work ethic, but did show an obvious decline this year.

I can support Carlton and the Silvagni's at the same time...don't get all the emotional thinking surrounding them. I have all sorts of players I enjoy following; I am not one dimensional.
You never answered my question; you don't see a conflict of interest when it comes to friends? only when it comes to family?
And we all get painted with the same brushHe is an idiot.
I do think Acres has looked overweight and unfit given his injury. He looked slow this year. Kicking off. I suspect he’s the type to need a great run at it.I completely agree with all the above, and I think it would make sense for both clubs. Honestly, no I do not see a conflict of interest with Davies and Hinkley.
Show me where Hinkley and Davies have ever worked with Graeme Wright previously.
I can show you a lifetime of connection between SOS, Jack, Ross and Gubby Allen.
And good on you for having all sorts of players that you enjoy. Perhaps you could diversify your BigFooty contributions instead of being the surrogate Silvagni family apologist?
It's almost like you believe the list manager had no input in the recruitment of a player.I don't see a conflict of interest with Davies, Voss and Hinkley; like I don't see a conflict of interest with JSOS.
It is almost as if you believe there are no adults other than SOS at St Kilda.
Both SoS and Lyon would have a big say in recruiting JSoS. As this isn’t a drafting task, it would sit more with the coach who would know the opposition players well and see them more than a list manager. IMO, Lyon would have a big say and he isn’t one to be pushed either way. It's almost like you believe the list manager had no input in the recruitment of a player.
yeah someone eluded to that. ie wanting to play defence this year was never for us.. hahaDon't get me wrong, I'm okay with SOS leaving now and to Saints who'll net us a first rounder in his place.
But the whole thing screams orchestrated nepotism by STK and Allen/SOS. Played the Blues, Pies and Dogs. I hope Jack is ready for the pressure - especially if the Saints can't hold onto guys like Windhager and Wilkie.
On the flip side, i dont think the Saints plan on keeping Marshall or Wilkie, Windhager is different though, i see the Saints going after these free agents and younger players, whilst pushing the older ones out the door for picks.Don't get me wrong, I'm okay with SOS leaving now and to Saints who'll net us a first rounder in his place.

Haven't given his posts a minute of attention since he updated his profile picture...Such well thought out posts!
Except Marshall is way better than TDK (at least for now) and in his prime. Wilkie so important to them, too. JSOS is not a primary key tall - closer to a third tall, really. So if STK roll into 2026 with JSOS as the main guy... things could fall apart quickly. On the flip side, i dont think the Saints plan on keeping Marshall or Wilkie, Windhager is different though, i see the Saints going after these free agents and younger players, whilst pushing the older ones out the door for picks.
Can someone DM me on why there's such a rift between SOS and the club? Doesn't seem to be any concrete reasons in the public domain.
I don’t think there’s any more in it than the club sacked him and he’s an insanely vindictive bastard who really knows how to hold a grudge. Pretty sad really. Can someone DM me on why there's such a rift between SOS and the club? Doesn't seem to be any concrete reasons in the public domain.
It’s just how he is….JSOS still liking social media posts from the club….Just on Charlie. Please correct me if this is something most AFL players do or Charlie's done for years, but is the lack of pride / ownership of his role as a leader and star player of Carlton FC on his socials (insta his primary) worrying? Or a sign of the times with players and their 'brands'?

Because he has to. If he's open to it and his manager will be operating the way he is he has to otherwise the bridge is 100% burnt. So of course Charlie raised it. If he doesn't and his manager does this. Bridge burnt. Gone. Big problems for every party involved.Voss said straight up in his interview that Charlie raised the prospect of a trade.
