Rozee is still on my blacklist since the Dogs final.
Until he performs in finals that’s where he stays.
Granted he’s not alone but I won’t be sucked in again until they start performing in finals.
Agree 100% but then you’d also have Butters and JHF with him. None have produced Ashcroft/Daicos/Holmes level of finals performances. Not once.

Prospects I would look at for us:

1. Blake Oudshoorn-Bennier (MID)
2. Latrelle Sumner-Pickett (Small FWD)
3. Felix Kneipp (MID)
4. Tom Burton (MID)
5. Zane Peucker (MID/FWD)
6. Jhett Dahlitz (HB)
7. Tairon Ah-Mu (Ruck/FWD)
8. Brodie Atkins (MID)
9. Charlie McKinnon (FWD)

Expect these guys to be in around our first 2 picks. If a Harley Barker or Lachy Dovaston fell through then I'd be keen on thsoe two as well.
3 more names I'm adding to this after a weekend of catching up on lots of games:

Balyn O'Brien - the lockdown defender we might need

Sullivan Robey - might end up being a first round pick although limited (but massive when given opportunity) runs on the board in midfield

Talor Byrne - His all-round game is quite complete and while I'd like to see him hit the scoreboard more in a small forward role I think he's the best high-pressure small forward in the draft.

For me, it's down to Oudshoorn-Bennier and Kneipp. I'm finding it hard to split atm, maybe the SA factor and the injuries Kneipp has had makes me lean towards Oudshoorn-Bennier.

I wonder if Port can find another 2nd seconder somehow and offload picks 24, another 2nd rounder and 42 in exchange for their compo pick for TDK plus a late pick, Port could get Sam Cumming; should be thereabouts draft range wise and Latrelle-Sumner Pickett towards the back end of the draft and either promote one of the rookie listed players and met the requirement for drafting three players in the main draft and use that freed up rookie spot for a ruck or something.

Both of those guys are ma guys in this draft.

Carlton to give up their first round pick for two second rounders and a third rounder?

And that first rounder will be around 11-12 after Allen and maybe the Draper FA compo are added in.

I mean I guess if Crazy Vossy really appreciates his time at Port getting him a second AFL coaching job that he's willing to shoot himself in the foot...

Carlton will need to give up that pick because of Harry Dean who's their F/S prospected touted to go in top 10. Their first pick gets consumed anyways

I would not take McKinnon he’s only 190cm and no athleticism it would not translate to AFL. He’s a beast against boys but he wouldn’t grow to be a beast in the AFL

This is exactly what was said about Logan Morris and he's 1cm taller so I am not buying it. What I see in McKinnon is a Ollie Henry/Logan Morris types that are stay at home forwards but extremely effective with minimal disposals. I am not saying I'd take him in the first two rounds of the draft. But anywhere from pick 50 onwards I think its worth a punt. If he gets to rookie even better.

I'll be keen to see his combine results because I don't fully agree with the no athleticism either, he's not elite by any stretch but there's definitely something to work with.

I think we can only move 24 and 42. Suspect 60 goes for Brodie. And then on draft night we'll get new picks in round 5 and 6 for the remaining list spots we have and we either upgrade rookies or take a punt.

Kinda bummed cause I was really hoping we'd have a crack at getting Oudshoorn-Bennier but that doesn't look likely.

Interesting. 'Different options' suggests it's a bit up in the air. But with 6 spots to fill at the moment, if they're largely getting out of this draft, that probably means a few mature age recruits as rookies.... Which they already did with 2/3 picks mid-season. Probably keeping an eye on DFAs too.

I'm all for trading into 26/27
As long as the AFL doesn't screw all the teams over with changes to the F/S, NGA and Northern Academy bidding and Port enticing Butters to stay beyond 2026 and see the future with Cochrane hopefully getting his NGA status approved followed by the draft bounty in 2027 with Pilot, Salopek, Rodan and Tambe and potentially Burgoyne.

If we take a step back, the 2026 and 2027 draft looks very strong atm. Loading up on picks in advance with a clear strategy is something I am a fan of.

I suspect Rome and Watkins are still possibilities personally.

Sounding like there is only going to be 50ish selections used in this draft.
Not ideal for the AFL a few years from Tassie coming in.

I still don’t understand why list sizes didn’t increase, with this years TPP increase, in order to reduce again when Tassie enter. Missed opportunity to mitigate the further spreading of a talent pool already beyond capacity.

If we decide to pick up a couple of fathers sons this year I don't have a problem with that.
But we still need to find a lock down defender is honestly believe that's our biggest hole right now
