Not a good start, I thought this year was one of our best in terms of injury management and we basically had the full squad (other than last minute injuries to Switta and Wags) to choose from prior to the Suns game.

hopefully Merriman trained his team well before he left. Our injury list and time to playing again was beyond terrible before he came.

i believe the parting was mutual, i posted on here early in the season that Freos poor start to the year reminded me of Tired Legs Syndrome basically overtrained in the pre season , this departure kind of validates my thinking.

On the surface it did appear Merriman did a good job to keep the list relatively injury free. But for the ones that did get injured, not necessarily his fault, but did they get setbacks which may have caused bit of disgruntlement?

Don't think so for Fyfe, Young or Walters...but what about the management of Sturt for example.. I guess we not privy to what occurs behind closed doors
