Working on dates for these 80s/90s logos.

I don't think I've ever seen a Freo version, so 1995 for most. But then, they were associated with some clubs later. The Bulldogs have a version with the robo-dog logo which was from 1997. And North were using theirs right up until the 1999 premiership.
I feel like I remember seeing something like this but can't find anything on it

Couldn't find a logo but they did make a plush in that mascot style. Then there was another version prior to the surfer where the docker stood up straight with his hands in his pockets or something

Edit: Found it, well, by his pockets at least

I know everyone transferred over to the Mascot Manor designs in 2003 and clubs slowly faded out of it over time. I think Geelong might have been the first due to their Mascot Manor counterpart being a Yellow Tabby Cat while the team used a Blue Cat with that Blue Cat design being more iconic.

I also know AFL '99 on the PS1 which was released in 1999, A year after the PC version released has the mascots on the team selection menu as 3D models and some of them were the same design as those. I could have a quick look at the game and let you know which ones were still in use in 1999 so we can start to narrow stuff down a bit for those.

Ok, I've had a look and I can confirm that Adelaide, Carlton, Collingwood, Geelong, North Melbourne, Richmond, West Coast and the Western Bulldogs were still using the same basic mascot designs in 1999 with the Bulldogs and Eagles only having a difference with the uniforms they were wearing.

Brisbane had a new mascot design from the merger in 1997, Essendon had changed their mascot from the Bomber Plane to the Mosquito with the Aviator getup by that point, Hawthorn had changed to a primarily Yellow hawk, Melbourne had changed their Demon into a completely different design, St Kilda had gone fully into the Crusader look with their mascot, and The Swans had already introduced Cyggy.

This is partially related to the topic, forgive me if it’s not please, but Port (as well as Freo, GC and GWS) never had one of those mascot logos that the clubs had in the early 90s. Funnily enough though I came across this pic yesterday that I took last October. This was at City Sports & F1 so it’s a legit generic piece of merch, but I find it hilarious that it has an adapted version of the Carlton one and also has the colours the wrong way around on the jumper. What a cluster****.

I have never been all that happy with the boots I've used for the earliest versions of the Uniform template.
I went back to Shutterstock where I found the original version of Wally, and now they have contact details for the designer who did the original drawing.
She is going to draw boots for the mid 1800s, late 1800s and early 1900s eras to go with Wally the uniform guy.

I have these
And then early-mid 2000s they started transitioning the other clubs out of those old shield mascots to the same style ones (Saints, Dees, Crows, Bombers, Lions) as there was an Easter AFL chocolate footy that had the ladder with all 16 mascots, such as the Bulldogs' 'Woofer' mascot (bottom of the blanket, sorry - best I can find) and this Geelong mascot logo.

Freo had some tough blue/green guy coming out of the water with blonde hair, Eagles had an abstract orange eagle with huge strides to match their 2000s logo, and Kangaroos had a tougher boxing kangaroo. I feel like Port had a different one at that point too.

The Bears did have one of these with the V Bears Jumper being worn

I think they were parked by 1995 as it was the first year some clubs stopped using them.

Reminds me of the sticker albums I had as a kid! Do you have these as vectors? Would love to get a copy of the Lions one 🙏

I found this on eBay of a Select AFL Sticker Set from 2000 and it looks like that was the year that finally saw the end of the remaining 90's style mascot logos.

The teams that stuck with the old designs had the shield removed and the AFL logo updated on their uniforms.

I've come across what's been sold as a 1984 Pre-Season Sydney guernsey, however I can see by your front sponsors page that Hoover was in 1986. Wondering which is correct, but also there doesn't seem to be a guernsey listed for either year's preseason - only taken note of it due to the three stripes on the side that I haven't seen before

Opera House jumper was first worn in '87. Hoover were only a sponsor in 1986 and 1987 meaning that this jumper pretty much has to be from 1987.

Also side note, while looking around for a little bit more info i found this.

Yeah, I remember seeing photos of this. The biggest ever sponsorship deal in Victorian sport at the time. It was signed in 1976. However, the logo was only shown on tracksuits and training jumpers, not match-day jumpers.

This article explains the deal:

Training jumpers are not included on the site.
This training jumper has adidas stripes down the sides, something the Home jumpers never had
