Finals footy is when it truly matters. Not Home & Away. The minor Premiership is just a glorified acknowledgement for finishing on top of the AFL ladder.

Premierships are won during Finals footy....4 weeks/1 month.....thats when it matters most.

You're stating the obvious really. But finishing #1 usually denotes you've beaten most of the good teams and are capable of going deep into it, or at least playing a good game.
Arguably missing their two best players has cost them, along with poor skills and choices.
Annoying 3/3 Vic teams in the prelims.

A very Dockery finish to season for Crows.

Hawthorn players attack every contest, take marks (not fumble). Gotta give it to them, they are sucking max performance out of that talent. midfield is workman like but they work for each other. If Dogs midfield worked like that, they would win 5 premierships in a row.

Would actually love to be able to go to some Hok training sessions to see what they are doing. They are not naturally stacked with talent but have a bunch of average players playing above their grades.

The Hawks will be hot to trot if they get Merrett

He’s a big unit that relies on strength. Meeks is just bigger and stronger. O’Brien has no plan B so is stuffed
