People said Dangerfield crapped the bed in some previous finals (with a bit of merit, albeit exaggerated). Dawson has him well and truly covered from these two finals. But this can also happen when you have no help and feel the burden to do it all, which was also true of Danger in some earlier losing finals.

Only thing that worries me from tonight is getting jumped from the bounce.

I think we need to play in a similar way to last week’s Brisbane game. Except our strategy needs tweaking to kill Hawks.

Gunstan + Newcombe have exploited Adelaide + exploded.

We need to focus on:
Our midfield + back line has to stop the quick ball movement into Hawks I50. They had the first seven I50s + first three clearances;
Hawks concede the most points from their F50 stoppages;
Hawks have taken more Marks I50. Both back lines have restricted Marks I50 to opposition this season. Adelaide are first, Hawthorn are second;
We need to apply pressure! Ensuring we score from Turnovers, playing a front half game from successful forward chains;
Dominate contested possessions;

We just need to kill them! Swiftly, methodically, physically, strategically, lethally!
